Just as a matter of interest... who else here liked Port... before they entered the AFL. I know I did. |
Were they ever the victims of a curse? |

You dont live here in SA, their whole point IS to wear it against us, and they can f&%K off their bullsh!t this is their only heritage in black and white, and its the photograph not the jumper.

Yep,........ In our flag year of 1990, Swan Districts won the WAFL flag, Port won the SANFL flag, Southport won the QAFL flag and Grice/Percy won Bathurst in a Black & White Holden.... I was drunk until 1991. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

Years back (1973) and I was in Hobart first ever time so Saturday arvo I went to a Tassie footy match at Glenorchy home ground
Knew zilch about Tassie footy but when home side ran out in Black & White I got interested and think opposing side wore Demons gear -cars parked right up to the boundary line fence with locals having tea out of thermos and sanger,s for munchies
They celebrate their 100th year in Black and White in 2019
Their motto. Fortis-Ad-Finem.
Bet someone here wil know Latin _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

I'm with Cam on this. Don't really care what they wear. We have bigger fish to fry... _________________ "You must be a parking ticket, cuz you got fine written all over you" Glen Quagmire |

I'm a bit surprised at how little this seems to bother most here.
Should we also let them call themselves the Port Adelaide Magpies, as long as it's not against us?
Black and white stripes belong to Collingwood. End of. |

The now annual post season (slow news) lets allow Port to wear back and white vertical stripes.
Tell 'em they're dreaming. They can F*ck off basically. _________________ âI even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didnât keep âem under long enoughâ Kinky Friedman |

Well said, Rudey. Completely agree with you.
Port can choose to one of these guernseys for their 150th anniversary.

Brilliant Jezza. I'm more than happy for Port to have a choice _________________ âI even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didnât keep âem under long enoughâ Kinky Friedman |

Ambit claim.
Surely for their anniversary they would really only want to wear it once.
I'd concede them a one-off anniversary match and capatilise on some mutual good-will.
If they want the whole year it will cost em Ollie Wines. |
