Get on the pies site and have a look at the footage fro todays training.
This kid takes a huge mark over Daicos and also in one drill is able to out-body IQ.
He looks very strong, very fit. Could be a real smokey.... _________________ "Even when Im old and gray, I wont be able to play but Ill still love the game"

I was at training and I didn’t see him out body IQ. It was mostly the other way round. Not that Atu didn’t impress. |

Rather slim time the video and difficult to get a handle on the kids
We will have JLT and the usual intra club game —in 2018 coming off
an average 2017 the door was open to add a new face but we are now
coming off 22 players that went close —breaking in be bit more of a
challenge _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

He finished equal third in Morrish medal. He obviously caught the eye of the umps on several occasions.
The Morrish medal can be a bit skewed because the better players tend to miss more games with their private school commitments but it’s still a very good effort.
Oh and the player who finished equal third alongside him .... Number one pick, Sam Walsh. Hopefully, a sign of things to come for Atu. |

I would say there are at least 10 players who didnt play in the Grand Final, who would think they have claims to being in the best 22 when fit and healthy.
Elliot, Moore, Wells, Dunn, Scharenberg, Beams, Roughhead, Quaynor, Daicos, Brown.
The only guys who probably don't think they can crack it into the best 22 if everyone is available would be - Appleby, Brown, Murphy, Kelly, Bos, Wills, Crocker, Broomhead, Murphy and Magden and Lynch. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

That E is a very encouraging position for the club to have player’s of that amount with the desire to break in to a side who were gallant in defeat
It will be a very interesting process to watch as season progresses—will we see a player (like Jayden Stephenson) front up game one and play a full season
Lot of positive,s if we keep the faith and out of the injury curse _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Out of E’s list I actually think Murphy does have a claim to a round 1 spot in terms of class he adds to the team, given the way he played last year and natural improvement. The other one is Appleby, not on his class, but purely on his athleticism in being able to negate the opposition small forward. The others I agree with assuming when he says Brown, he means Tyler, not Callum. |

A second look at the video and apart from existing players there were a bit
on Quaynor and Bos but didn’t notice Kelly (think he has a small injury being dealt with)
But the two others moved well _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Kelly is recovering from surgery for a stress fracture in his foot. Serious but not career limiting. He got out of a moon boot only a few weeks ago and is targeting running again in about a month. He is going to be a good addition to our second team (not the VFL team, but the permanently injured crew). _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Billy Elliott's hamstrings better hold up or Bossa Nova will pinch his spot as our small forward. The kid is powerfully built, good in the air and on the ground, and has all the tricks to become a genuine star. I'm excited. |

Do you really think he is ready to replace someone on this forward line?
