GET HIM!! NOW

What HE said

This guy was a great defender. He was best on ground in one of his first matches. Strong as a bull & a great mark, he would it perfectly. He'd be better for us than anyone else. He only got 15 games, but was developing into just the kind of player we needed & showed great leadership too.

Just get him back.

As. others have pointed out, we have the best people to take him to the next level, THAT is what got us into the granny, & he would be the PERFECT sort for Dunny to train up as his successor. This is something we MUST do to keep our momentum going in 3-5 years, or will we be happy with just a couple of flags? Not me! We can break our own record!

Agree. I was disappointed when he left.

Could be a good successor after Dunn's career concludes.

Definitely worth a try....

But would he want to come back to us?

I would like to hear from him that he wants to come back to the pies.

Does anyone know where he was playing in the WAFL (i.e. was it KPP)?
I was thinking more along the lines of an SM replacement than a Dunn replacement, simply because he was faster than anyone on the list.

My guess is he can read the tea-leaves and would be happy for any Vic. club to draft him. (Or would there be greater interest than I initially thought?)

Good size, serious pace, has got a bit older and got his head straight, take him back in a heat beat.

His kicking, though a work in progress, surely isn't worse than SM's, is it? (He's faster than SM.)

Marsh has a lot of X factor. He also has some Y factor. Why did he often kick the ball directly to the opposition?

Worth a punt.

Rather have just kept McLarty or go with a player in Keitel who has made the WAFL team of the year 3 seasons running in a key position and one who is yet to be given an AFL opportunity.

Marsh would need a dominant VFL season me thinks to prove he's serious and capable of making a go at being a professional footballer this time around.

I'd take him if his head's ok. He would be a great back up at least and Marsh and Moore as two long term key defenders would be very difficult to contend. If he doesn't pay off, probably haven't lost much. I hope he gets a go somewhere

Played midfield in '17 averaged 28 touches and kicked 10 goals in 15 games.
Played mainly backline this year, 17 games.

Let me think about this no!

At WAFL level he throws his weight around as hes stronger than most at the level. He played predominantly in the backline in a team that won two games all year. The ball was down his end a lot!

He also played at times on the ball. He did make the WAFL State team, though.

As some of the astute posters on this Board have highlighted; his disposal by foot was poor. He also panics a lot and plays on a lot in a wild, abandon kind of way. I gave up on the times he would drop simple chest marks when he played for the Pies.

At best and being complimentary, the games he played for the Pies would have been cough! cough! .. serviceable.

He still has the pace and X factor.

After careful consideration its still a no!.
