I guess that rules out Thursday night.
We've played in that time slot on 9 occasions and lost all 9 games _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Mind you I can't stand Thurday football. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are more than enough. It becomes too saturated in my view and a lot of people work the next day. I work shift work in any case for the last few well more than few years but Thursday is NQR in fact just wrong. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Im finding day games at the MCG quite troublesome the last few years.
Im not sure if it's my eyes, the ozone layer, or starting pre 2pm but there is a problem from the Southern Stand.
The sun is a complete shocker. Visibility from the higher levels looking across toward the sun is extremely poor until late in the games.
If you forget your sunnies it's an unpleasant experience for prime seating.
Fine for all you folk who like to watch it from the couch or the bar in the Ponny.
Nothing should start at the G before 2:50pm, post Anzac Day, so at least after half time there is clear viewing.

Agree with you on Thursday football, but it looks like it's here to stay for the foreseeable future.
Have two Thursday night games next year. Need to break the drought. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

what about people on this forum from WA?
day games in VIC on TV must start at 12 and night games turn into twilight games to watch for them. I know its different watching on TV then beiing at the ground
ideally WA teams should have there home games as the twilight, since it will be earlier over there.
It would of been visionary to have the optus stadium over there made with a roof, then they cant use the sun as an excuse etc |
