| It depends why he’s been cut. If Geelong has decided its in rebuild mode, he could still be able to give us some good games over 2 years. If they’ve formed the view his injuries have finished him, he’ll just be keeping Wells company. I assume it’s the latter but wouldn’t be disappointed if the Club took him on. If he still has footy in him, he’s more talented than half our list. |

He might be that p4s, but, we've been playing system and the other thing going around is he gives nothing back coming the other way, so those two factors combined might be the tipping factor for most clubs and ours?
I suspect he'll be picked up by someone though.
Also I suspect that if we were going to pick someone up from the delisted free agents for 'insurance' on a one year deal - it'd be Goddard (I don't like him but it makes more sense imo).

From that list, published yesterday, Whitecross has joined North Melbournes VFL list.
I cant see us going after anyone, apart from maybe Neade.

So many ex-Pies being talked about;
Marsh, Freeman, Smith, Blair, Bolton. Was there another?
Sounds as if Zac Clarke is going to Essendon. Wonder who the other two clubs were? With Menzel gone to Sydney, it seems that Townsend will end up staying at Richmond, and Bugg to Carlton.
Still think that Neade is a very small chance of coming to Collingwood. Would be very surprised if anyone else was linked to us.
Goddard was in the papers yesterday saying he's just about accepted that his career is over.
