Left it to this weekend.
My take. We were very unlucky. And WCE were given the rub of the green by the umps. It was very very green rub with a happy ending to finish it off.
Feel like we were ripped off. That won't change. I won't ever feel for opposition ever again when they get sh!t calls. I'll just say to them to look up the last half of the 2018 GF.
Umpiring is a raffle and can't rely on it being right. We werent quite good enough to beat WCE and a few umps. Hopefully next time. |

I just watched the Collingwood highlights of the first quarter on this link. I'm still too upset to watch it. I want to change my vote. I'm not sure I can watch the match. I haven't watched any losing GF before. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

snd this about sums it up. Even before excluding the Australians who viewed this either before or after you posted it, a grand total of 43k out of 325 million americans cared enough to watch!
Very few if any Americans know or care who Mason Cox is..... _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

by the way, this is a misleading poll. There should not be a "no" category since it understates options 3 and 4. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

True, obvious, and irrelevant. (Well, to be more precise, you need to drop the "if any", because obviously he has family and friends, for starters.) |

Thanks for the link Stui.
I couldn't bear the pain of watching the "real thing" again, but seeing it through the eyes of an American who seems to appreciate the game, I was amazed all over again by how totally brilliant some of our players were and grudgingly, how the Weagles fought it out strongly.
On the other hand, I was also dismayed seeing how Ryan wasn't made to go back and play over the mark and Maynard was allowed to be blocked.
Okay, I can feel the heartache rising again within now and that will definitely be it..... never will I watch this game again. |

I've never watched a replay of one of our lost GFs and never will, I haven't re-watched the draw in 2010 either, not interested in causing myself any more emotional pain than necessary haha.
I recorded every game of the year though and will watch back through some of those during the off-season, still got the Hawthorn come back from 2017 too. |

I haven't and I wont.
I was very very critical of Bucks early in the year, as were many others. He proved me wrong and covered my face in egg.
I can't fault the man.
I kept a low profile all final series, never spoke about it and always tried to be civil when talking to others at work who support other teams.
I was devastated after the grand final. I'm yet to be to a winning one.
I haven't copped any shit over it which is good, even from the west coast supporters. I never give it so I never get it, which in a time like this is nice.
If I'm to be brutal, I'm not too disappointed with this loss as I was in 2011. We are building to something great and that's awesome.
That and I was in bay M19, so a free airfare did help with the loss . _________________ Heeeeeeeeeeeeeey, we want some Bayley! |

I will watch it. Seeing it from the perspective of tv broadcast will shed new light. Yes, the result doesn't change, so it's irrelevant to me. The whole game was so emotional, I need to see it again to appreciate the detail. A bit like watching a film again. You learn more about it cos you're not so caught up in 'what happens next'.... the story....which we know, sadly.
But it'll have to wait til the wounds have healed. Or I'm in 'off season' no man's land.
In the off season, no-one can hear you scream.
Big times ahead everyone. So excited about our future.

NO way, Jose !!!! id rather have dental work, or bloodtest, than watch that soul destroying loss, reamed by the Perth umpire too. Bugger that. Never. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

I listener to the Kobe Bryant podcast and he said he watched every single game in entirety to review it. They play 3 games per week. He spoke about a female basketballer that lost a championship and she didnt watch the game. He advised her to watch it with him to take the learnings. She learned sooo much from the review and she as ready to not repeat the mistakes and saw some openings for next time the teams meet.
Kobe said watching the games made him feel as if the actual game was a movie that he directed. He could see it all unfolding.
I hope I dont hear our players say they didnt watch the game.
I rewatched the final quarter a few times to find the moments that cost us. I was at the game so you do miss events when the ball is on the other side.
Im not naming names but I could count at least 5 moments that cost us goals and the match in the end. Moments where we had the ball and cocked it up and got punished for it. I thought it was important for me to analyse the game. |
