What is your thoughts on us and close games - we seem to get the rotten end every time there is a close game. Everything seem to go against us - a free paid/not paid, a ridiculous goal/point or a clearance against.

Is this a weakness in our team that we are not able to hold on a team in the last few minutes? Is it that we don't have anyone who can stand-up and be counted when it comes to the hot end? Is it a leadership issue?

I think the club and the coaches need to take note and explore what the reasons are and how we can overcome this. Most teams have done this to us in the last few years, or come to think of it, even longer.

Watching recent games and reading between the lines of some comments from the players/coach, I believe we have a 'slow-play' button they are keen to use even with just a reasonable lead early in the second half.
That can be a risky business.

Yes, even when we do that - playing for time, we chip backwards and sometimes turn it over.

We should learn to kill teams off, instead we expect them to come back and then play into them. Especially the red minutes in quarters. Just be ruthless and kill off any spark in the opposition without giving them a sniff. Maybe with the confidence we gained playing finals this would hopefully change fo r the better.
