I am still traumatised from the 1980 GF.

Just got home and could not be prouder of the boys.
Heard on SEN we haven't beaten Richmond in a final since 1938.

Reality is that was a brutal game of footy and we have a 6 day break.
It would be one of the 'sweetest victories of all' if they can pull this off.

Exhausting finals series for supporters already.

A draw with us left the bombers with a 2 week break.

Hate these yellow and black bastards. It would almost resemble winning a flag if we knocked them off next week.

Last time we played them in a final was the 1980 Grand Final, and they've beaten us in the last six finals clashes. Last time we beat them in a final was a 1937 semi final. We defeated them by 51 points with Gordon Coventry kicking six that day.

We're long overdue to knock them off in a final.

I actually regret us winning that 1980 prelim final now, even though it was a fantastic game to attend at VFL park.
The pain should have belonged to Geelong that year, who were probably the 2nd best side really.
