Melb. winning is less bad than Rich. winning, which would be the Death of Football. But losing a GF is more traumatic than losing a prelim.

Agree, really wish hawks beat us in 2011!

In saying that if we win tonight, we will win next week!

Go Pies!

Scotch no 2 coming up, hey its 5pm somewhere!

And he'll have Treloar to contend with when he "rests" from the midfield in the forward line!

I hope the umps are looking at the push into packs that Richmond have perfected (and led to Howe's concussion)

Love your steely resolve RudeBoy. Looking forward to a Collingwood/West Coast GF.

If the Tigers do falter I expect the game will get very nasty and various melees and one-on-one behind the play spot fires will break out. Which brings to mind a question.

I noticed that last week some Pies players were fined for their participation in that melee after DeGoey goaled (I recall Maynard was one of those that was fined, and not for the first time this season).

Can anybody tell me if these fines for minor infringements can accumulate during the season to the point where a single further infraction can result in a one week suspension? If so the Pies are going to have be tightly restrained in the face of Richmond off-ball aggression. Don't want to go into the GF with some of our best warriors sitting in the stands.

Nah, fines don't accumulate into a suspension. It's not like drivers license demerit points.

Pretty sure TayTay was in the middle of that melee, and the second-last to get up and walk away. Wink

Get stuck into Caddy and Riewoldt, they lose the plot pretty quickly. They'll do the same with Adams and De Goey. Gotta keep cool heads and let the Tigers give away free kicks.

Thanks, that's one less anxiety to worry about.

I'm worried about giving away free kicks and 50m penalties for hot-headed moments. I forget the quarter, but Sidey jumped in and told a team-mate to keep his eyes on the prize. We need that cool-headed leadership. Adams goes off like a firecracker, which is great -- but not so great when the opposition player gets a 50m walk and shot at goal.

Well if the f&ckers aren't, we'll be reminding them in no uncertain terms...

So, here we are - our most important game in 6 seasons.

For those who many weeks ago wanted a crack at Richmond in the Prelim, now is the time. Here is your "free hit" at them as underdog.

Regardless of the result, well done to the Club for advancing so far in a 2018 season that nobody really thought we would.
I don't know how we got this far, but the job isn't done yet.

Gee it's good to be excited this deep into September again, isn't it?

Let's hope the post-match thread is a good one!

And remember: #stevicyoudog

GO PIES! Surprised

Sounds like you've collected well in advance...I hope you're right but for one point: a game is never over at 1/4 time
