His tap on to Mihocek in the last quarter, then from Mihocek to JDG was just brilliant!!!
I believe some of Mason's family were out fromt he USA and at the game today.
The absolute wonderful thing about Mason is that he remains the tallest player in the AFL as the game goes on and opposition players start to tire!!!

Those 2 saving marks he took in defence showed another string to his bow. He is reading the play so much better now and having an impact on the game all over the ground.

Thought his game today was a “football game” and by that I mean not just a tall forward/ part time ruckman

Popped up and took contested mark down back repelling several forward thrusts by opponents

Geez he was good, particularly for a bloke who cant play in the wet 😂😂
His tap downs to advantage in a couple marking contests were an absolute treat to watch. No stat though, more like a party trick for the purists.

Yes, they did not deliver it the way he likes it... A bit of a regression there.

He's the get out target - and one of the best in the comp. It's not possible to always deliver cleanly.

We lacked run today so weren't kicking the ball from close enough to pinpoint it.

Considering he’s played 30 odd games and the wet doesn’t suit his type, some posters seem to be a bit harsh on his game today.
Hurley and Hooker took 8 marks each, McKernan took 7.
Cox took seven marks also.
He was quiet in the first half but he was instrumental in a close game in the second half.
He aint going to get any worse or any shorter from here.

I thought a really encouraging game again from Cox. Super important to our structures. Gives us that get out kick down the line and gets outmarked much less in that circumstance than he used to.
He's also getting recognised for free kicks now as his stature in the game grows and as he learns to milk them on occasion.
His ground game is slowly improving too. He was getting to some balls along the ground when his teammates weren't supporting much. He's a hard man to shift when he has eyes for the pill.
Also a really viable tap ruck alternative to allow Grundy a rest.

Oh, and the USA chant emerged in the MCG game when he kicked 5 recently. Against Freo?
