If you are thinking kidnap, maybe dusty. Apparently its the only thing that will stop him playing Friday night. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Interesting discussions with a Saints fan the other night.he thinks if Gold Coast get 2 early picks they may take the King brothers to keept hem together.Carlton takes walshe to ultimately replace Murphy and Saints get Lucozade. It may be Gold Coast would be happy to lose May to free up salary space. They may take some steak knives. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

SEN's sports reporter this morning said Collingwood players have been told May will be playing in the Pies defence next year. Dunn a 1 year contract too. |

SEN also noted that Ned Guy was Mays former manager and that they have a good relationship.
Given what melliot has noted and Ned Guys relationship with May then it sounds like hes coming. _________________ âI even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didnât keep âem under long enoughâ Kinky Friedman |

May could have agreed to leave with Collingwood but the ball is in Gold Coast's court seeing as though they have a valid contract.
You can agree to anything you like but unless GCS come to terms with us then his agreement is just fairy dust until he is a FA. |

Its actually the main point.
Apparently the Dees have thrown their hat into the ring for May also.

IIRC, the dees traded away this years first round pick for Jake Lever so unless they have some other cards to play you'd think that rules them out. |

I think it's silly to deal for May this year, for both what's best for GCS and us respectively. We're best to wait until next year. If you're the GCS why would you take less for him now when you could hang onto him for another year or deal with another club with more to bargain with? |

If you're GCS and you are certain he is leaving, you push super hard to void his contract for next season - mutual agreement.
Taking picks 2, 3, 4 to this years draft trumps anything they'll receive in trade now, or any compensation next year (given the supposed top end quality this year). It's been said by the draft experts, there is a top tier of 6 outstanding prospects this year, followed by a fairly even bunch. To be able to get half of them? I'd take that if I was GCS.
It wouldn't be dissimilar to Dal Santo moving to Norf in 2013 as a restricted free agent. While his contract had expired, there was a trigger for an additional year that he met by playing 22 games and passing a medical. A mutual decision between Dal and the Saints not to exercise that trigger allowed the move. |
