72,504 was the final crowd attendance. The MCC predicted 68K, so it was a pretty good figure overall in spite of the opponent and weather conditions.

It was the 8th largest crowd between a Victorian team and an interstate team in the finals. It was the 4th largest crowd between a Victorian team and an interstate team in a semi final. It was the largest crowd this century between a Victorian team and an interstate team in a semi final.

Well done and great turnout from the faithful but I have to say, without any noise from opposition fans, atmosphere is seriously lacking. Same won't be said for next week, I can't wait!
