Khawaja out for 141 (302).
Paine, 40 not out (150), will have to protect the tail for over an hour.
Starc is not a good defender.

The collapse is on. 3 wickets in 14 balls, all to Shah (3 wickets in 8 balls).
The cause looks lost.

Paine defends. DRAW.

Excellent batting from the Aussie skipper 61* - and Usman Khawaja (85 & 141). Smile.

The Head/Ussy partnership was vital, as well.

Very impressive draw, have to be happy with that especially seeing that Aus played with 2 men down (Marsh brothers)!

Yes. Seeing the Marshes at #3 & 4 - where you bat your best two batsmen - didn't exactly fill me with confidence.

I can't see any change to the XI for the second Test.

Renshaw could've challenged Lambuschagne for a batting spot but 2 things are against that:

1. Renshaw didn't have enough recent form to be included in the first Test. He won't have played, come next Tuesday.

2. Lambu, although failing with the bat in both innings, may just have done enough with his leggies (2 Test wickets) to hold his #6 spot.

Early wicket. Someone please watch and count how many touches L. had on the ball before completing the catch.

Lyon 4 wickets in 6 balls.

I've said it before; I'll say it again: batsmen nowadays have no defensive technique.

Lunch, day 1, Second Test.
Pakistan 5/77.
An eventful opening session. Freak catch. Dropped catch. Near run out.
Oh, and Lyon's 4 wickets...
