Thinking about some key moments during tonight's game that disappointed me involving Mason.
Considering our next two opponents only play with one Ruckman giving us the option to back Grundy one vs one.
There is one SERIOUS switch we can make.
If he is 100% ready to go. I would bring in Moore and drop Cox.
It could be similar to Tom Boyd a couple years ago, Where he gets his moment and comes of age. I just dont see Mason Cox really impacting a match at the moment ( Being a Gamewinner ). If Darcy gets his chance he could really turn it on if he Spearheads the forward line and could perhaps kick Collingwood to a Flag as he posseses that Xfactor.
So the Giant question is:
COX or MOORE ?
Stick to the system and back Mason Cox
OR
Give Darcy the stage and the chance to become a Million Dollar Man.

I dont think we have a choice but to play Cox.
Moore and Reid need to be 100% ready to go for Cox to miss. They wont be.

Moore looked Ok at training and is likely to be good to go next week.
Cox and 2 marks tonight and 5 touches. Also does not look like scoring either.

I think defence was fine.
Goldsack and Langdon passed the test.
Moore is a Gun who kicks goals.

Some of our supporters are the reason Collingwood is one of the most hated clubs in the league. Absolutely disgusting! We're all sore tonight but that kind of nonsense is not on. |

I love the Big Yank, I think we all do, but by golly, he put in an absolute shocker, his worst game ever, id say. If Moore is fit, if he is, its a tossup, but id probably go with Moore. On the other hand, Mason would be feeling bad tonight, he knows he fluffed it, and im sure hed come out steaming next week, to have a red hot go, so im in kinda two minds.

You have to be kidding surely!!! You actually went on Twitter and told him to piss off?????? Unbelievable. This reflects very poorly on you IMHO.
Mason Cox has been invaluable to the team this year. We wouldn't have been playing tonight if it were not for his presence over the season. As other posters have said, he'll gain heaps out of his first ever finals experience and he always had at least two Eagles defenders flying against him in marking contests. You seriously under-estimate his value. How much did the Eagles beat us by at the MCG when he was out of the side? |
