Very humble young fella. I especially like the fact that he thinks he owes the club, I hope it means he remains loyal as he will be an absolute gun. No doubt about that.

Interesting what Dermie said that by playing him forward and not as a mid early in his career was great managed by Collingwood

He further said by doing that they lengthened his season

One of the only things that he has said that had made sense in a long time. Absolute wollop of a footy commentator, but one of the toughest players there’s ever been.

Just imagine what this young fella will be like with some meat on them bones. He's great now. With some bulk on him, God help the opposition

Fantastic work, our challenge now is to make sure we retain him long term, and he completely buys in for the future.

Congrats Jaidyn. At 52 votes, he's the most unanimous choice winner in the history of the award too.
Here's hoping it leads to a long and successful career at the Pies.

Well done son! (Kicked the same number of goals as one Billy Elliot did last year)

Now, celebrate with 5 in the West Smile

Well done!

He has broken the 25 year old 'Buckley curse' of missing out on this award; hopefully that duck breaking form continues, would love to see Bucks break his maiden

he was originally a no 1 pick and the 5 clubs before us were scared off - their loss our gain, all I can say is we won big time, a champion player and person - maybe a bit like Decca records who turned down The Beatles ...

You beauty.
What a fantastic first year as a afl footballer. Leagues ahead of the nearest draftee in his year.
I hope he keeps the number on his back as a well deserved suitor.

Brilliant news. Hard to believe it’s taken us 26 years to get on the board. Hope the rest of his career turns out to be as exciting as his first 22 matches have been.

Onya Stevo. Pleased to see that in today’s Hun, only one of the commentators selected someone else, guess who? No longer the Danyle Pearce award ... for the best first year non Pies player
