The really, really good teams can win ugly, even when they don't play so well. We've done that a few times now. We have belief.

I was at that tigers v pies game, we had em shitting bricks, then scharenberg and howe go down, no rotations, and they ran away. Even Tiger fans told me back at Mt View Pub post game, Pies have improved a lot, and they were really worried. Finals are different anything can happen, obviously Tigers start favourites, great, love being underdogs, just have a red hot go, you never know. May even have Goldy and Treloar, Moore back. too, you never know.

Intriguingly we had like 20 rotations left with only a few mins left on the clock despite no game ending injuries. What's up with that?

No, I don't think so. I think it shows the Tiggers are cooked. (See also Tiggers/Bumbers game.) Problem is: the other finalists are fielding half of their reserves teams. |

I feel like I almost died and then came back to life. My old heart can’t take too much of games like that. It was a scrappy game today but I am so proud of the team for the season they have goven us this year. Despite a year beset with injury setbacks they have prevailed to finish in the top 4 with a double chance. No matter what happens from here they have done us all proud. We have cheered on our usual champions, watched the career of the best ruck in the AFL unfold, unearthed some amazing new talent including the 2018 rising star, at least in my eyes. We have much to be happy about. Go you mighty magpies.

That's interesting. What we really need to see is when rotations occurred relative to our other games. e.g. Did they go normally and then just stop (normally a sign the bench has been wiped out)? Or were they less frequent throughout the whole game? |
