Cheers Swoop,

So NSW Labor being bought by the Chinese, again/still.

Seems to be an issue across the board with people aiming for political office. We aren't attracting the best and brightest, nor those with moral fibre.

Weird, I didn’t cop a paywall, thought it was a freebie. Anyway, just Labor being bought by China again Laughing

Let's not let the truth get in the way of a one eyed opinion.

Both major Parties are in with the Chinese. Just follow the money trail.

The ABC exposed this back in 2016. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-08-21/china-australia-political-donations/7766654

I will add we are heading into a NSW State Election and let's have one side (LNP) point the finger at the other (ALP).

NSW ICAC was brought in to fix up those corrupt ALP bastards as the LNP were squeaky clean. In saying that it has taken out more LNP members (including a Premier) than ALP Members. The self righteous LNP and their supporters keep pointing the finger at others. They are the do as I say, not as I do party.

All Political Donations need to be declared no matter what value. Both major parties are avoiding this.

Here's a bit more on the raid, from Crikey:

https://www.crikey.com.au/2018/12/19/nsw-coalition-scott-morrison-conflict/

Quote:
Not all of the trouble from NSW is coming out of the Liberal Party. Yesterday, NSW’s Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) raided the headquarters of NSW Labor, reportedly in relation to issues around donations from Chinese donors. NSW Labor’s deep financial links with Chinese donors go back a long way, and have demonstrably had an impact on the party’s willingness to bend policy in Beijing’s direction. Why would a raid on NSW Labor — reminding us of how utterly rotten NSW Labor is — be a problem for the federal Liberals? The problem is, ICAC is exactly the model for an “integrity” commission that Morrison and News Corp want to avoid, because it has been independent and assiduous in chasing down political corruption wherever it could find it. Yet again, yesterday, that was on display — but Morrison’s laughable “Commonwealth Integrity Commission” (CIC) would have almost nothing in common with ICAC beyond the word “commission”.
