Adam Treloar given green light by Surgeons

"....Midfielder Adam Treloar has been given the green light to lift his training intensity and is ready to join in full training after consulting his surgeon.

Treloar has joined in several of the Pies� training drills and has ramped up his running over the past few weeks. He trained with the main group at the Holden Centre on Tuesday and is itching to resume playing.

Collingwood football manager Geoff Walsh said last week that Treloar was ��ticking every box�� in his rehabilitation program...."

Howe could finally return from a badly corked thigh that required surgery, and would bolster the Pies' defence for their final-round clash with Fremantle in Perth. Murray was a late withdrawal for personal reasons and it is yet to be seen whether he will be ready to resume. Goldsack is odds-on to make a rapid comeback in the VFL, likely in defence given injuries, and could be joined by Appleby. Moore won't return until at least the first week of finals and Treloar holds out hope of making it back, but Elliott, Reid, Scharenberg, Dunn, Wells and Broomhead won't play again this season. Still reckon Treloar returns in a modified role for the rest of the season. He�s missed to much footy to play out a game in midfield. He could certainly create a mismatch for us in our forward line.
You can always find a spot for a good footballer.

It's certainly encouraging to read that Treloar is going to be ready sooner than later. I would be very surprised if Goldy made it back and Howe despite his weekly brainfades is a necessary player of out backline.
