Who would you rather play?
(4th) Richmond at the MCG?
or
(3rd) West Coast in Perth? (Less Nic Nat, Gaff and maybe Kennedy) _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Play and beat Ninthmond like 2002 when we beat Port without Bucks.
It will let Treloar have two more weeks before the Pre-Lim. _________________ Bucks you just reckon he can still cut it in the middle |

We're most likely to lose against both, so it may as well be Richmond so we don't have to travel. |

To get into the Grand final, we'd most likely need to play them both anyway, so I'm not fussed which is first up. |

I’d prefer the prelim at the G. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Unless I'm mistaken, if we beat Richmond at the G in the qualifying final, we'd go straight through to a Prelim at the G. That sounds like a plan to me. |

I don't mind either way but the tiges at the G sounds rather tantilising as a first up final should we make top 4. They've had it all their own way up to now with easy wins and a mostly injury free run while we've faced harder challenges. They're bound to come crashing down to earth sooner or later. I reckon we're capable of taking them down. The time to believe is now. We seem to play better when things are going against us. We're the unknown. Played well and been outplayed at times too. Bring it on! |

Now that Kane Lambert has just undergone ankle surgery and Butler is still 3 weeks away, bring on the Tigers.
One day we will play them and it will be them that lose two players through the game instead of us. Wouldn’t it be lovely if it was this Sept.
As for West Coast, Lycett has been really impressive for them since Nic Nat went down. They can’t replace Kennedy or Gaff but Lycett is currently doing a pretty good impersonation of a quality ruck option for them. |

Either
West Coast. Win there and have a week off. We can beat them, particularly without Gaff and Nic Nat. Grundy broke even with Lycett, but give Reg some prep time and I think our man would turn the tables. Plus they didn't see big USA last time. Don't show Richmond all our cards until it counts. Travelling doesn't bother us. Lose and we don't go back to Perth regardless.
Richmond. They are beatable, but we have yet to do it. Losing would likely mean an interstate prelim... which is less preferable. Beat them and show them how we did it, might be like 2003. Prefer to get them in the GF and have that be the first MCG loss for 20 odd games. It's going to happen, and every game takes them closer to losing the streak. Hope it's us.
Worst that can happen is lose either and hit Hawthorn in the QF. We struggle with them usually. If we don't win the flag, I hope that our guys get two finals into them. _________________ Get back on top. |

I reckon we have a better chance against West Coast, but both would be tough assignments. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Here I’m assuming Kennedy will be back for the final.
Lose here and we have to travel back to from WA. Their talls and homeground will stretch us.
Tigers have been the best team, beat them and put them on the plane to WC. Tigers don’t like travelling.
Interesting to see how melbourne go against WC over there tomorrow.
I think I’d take a shot at the Tigers on the G. We just fell short last time, that was without De Goey and Howe (went down early). Hopefully Moore and Goldie back by then. I think Trelor won’t play unless we make the prelim. |

It'd be something to host WCE at the MCG. They wouldn't be able to beat us twice at the MCG in one year.
I still think we can beat either on our day. Richmond is the harder task tho. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |
