Solid win after a slow start.

September is around the corner...

A huge relief. Looking forward to seeing the replay MB Well done to Greenwood for his hard tackling. Looks like Stephenson did his Rising Star chances no harm. Go pies.

Got the job done. Well done. Grundys second half awesome. Importantly, no injuries. Happy camper.

I'll take a 31 point win here, no drama. Especially after the 1st quarter horror show. We did what we needed to do without impressing, but the team is so depleted any win any way is good enough.

Best thing about this win was the response after qtr time. We didnt do that against the Eagles. Well done Bucks.

Well done pies! For all the Mayne bashers, humble pie for supper! He was massive tonight. Varcoe was monumental in the first half. JDG is a champion!! I can't believe some people on this board thought we wouldn't win again for the year 😎

Well done pies - cant help but feel that the structures bucks has in place are so solid that despite our injuries we turn up week after week.

Footnote: Murray - Im your number 1 critic- and after a poor turnover in the first I thought here we go- but Im eating my words and thought you played a solid game .

Taylor Adams - wonderful game esp your first half.

And Langdon- Ive watched the debate over you with interest but now firmly sit in your camp. Was a general down back and does the small things often unseen.

No injuries or reports- add Howe and perhaps Daicos next week. After what I witnessed today at North Port, McLarty is close to getting a game. At 197cms, he gives us height in the back half.

Good work, Pies. Brisbane are no pushover but did what needed to be done if we are to be considered finals-worthy.

Next week looms larger than ever. Win it and a double chance is a real option. One slightly odd scenario is that we might end up going west in the last week of H&A then conceivably playing first week fi finals two weeks later. You have to wonder whether it'd be worth staying over there if that happened.

Taylor Adams - you are a gun inside mid. From 1st quarter to the last just keep burrowing in, dishing out the footy, knocking opposition off balance and off the ball, setting up play, protecting our players. You are invalueable to this team and a massive headache to all opposition.

To be fair the Eagles are a slightly tougher opponent than the Lions..... Wink But, yes, it was looking like a game we could have allowed to slip by us and the lads did well to fight back and get on top. Next week against Port who have a few big outs becomes so massive, we again somehow need to find a way and that way involves keeping R. Gray to less than a bag of goals.
