I'm with you on this .....pick one and let some of the others go with a big pat on the back and massive thank you.
Elliot gets the nod purely for his upside, age, xfactor etc etc. |
Sorry to rain on your party, but he ain't gunna be up to it.
Believe me, I wish I was wrong, but his body is not up to it. Will be a burden to carry on with him and, to be honest, Moore is almost, almost in the same boat.
These players that get recurring injuries are a burden on your list.
There's been plenty of race horses that have huge potential, but their body isn't up to it, they use them for breeding.... hmmmm, lets get Jamie doing the night club scene ... how many father/sons can you do? _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

We have to get him to 100 games first. _________________ Est. 2002 |

The stars certainly aligned that year, took their time though - i'd written 2010 off after the GABBA loss against Brisbane [Fevolagate]. Man I had the shits up good and proper after that game, i tell ya....
Or alternately, if we want to go back to the 2006 draft... we had two picks inside the top 10 due to the Tarrant trade to Freo, getting Medhurst as steak knives chucked in.
So remember: Geelong wanted Boak, but Port stole him, thus Geelong took Selwood, who Collingwood wanted.
Makes you wonder if St.Vomit might have taken him before our pick that secured Brown?
Do we still win the 2010 flag with Selwood, but minus Reid and perhaps Brown? Hmmm...
Or... do we win the 2007 flag with Selwood? He peaked well before Boak did. Would Geelong have won any f*cking grand finals without Selwood?
1 Bryce Gibbs Carlton Glenelg 2006
2 Scott Gumbleton Essendon Peel Thunder 2006
3 Lachlan Hansen North Melbourne Gippsland U18 2006
4 Matthew Leuenberger Brisbane Lions East Perth 2006
5 Travis Boak Port Adelaide Geelong U18 2006
6 Mitch Thorp Hawthorn Tasmania U18 2006
7 Joel Selwood Geelong Bendigo U18 2006
8 Ben Reid Collingwood Murray U18 2006
9 David Armitage St Kilda Morningside 2006
10 Nathan J. Brown Collingwood North Ballarat U18 2006
Hawthorn get the 2006 "Danny Roach" award for drafting Thorp. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |
