After the last narrow win over the Lions in Rnd 7 Buckley said in his post-game press conference that that was the worst Collingwood's defence had performed so far this season.
So, if a full strength defence playing very poorly can beat the Lions, a depleted, second tier defence playing reasonably well should also prevail.
But watch out for that last quarter - these Queenslanders finish fast and strong. |

Smash them?
Not sure if others on here see the same team as I do. this match has DANGER written all over it for me.
We have:
An injury lost we can't jump over and seem determined to only increase week by week.... I blame fate.
We are coming home from a road trip and a brusing encounter.
We are coming up against a side that are starting to look like a team seriously on the rise.
Nothing to me screams a walk home. I will be happy with a 2 point win and no more damm injuries..but we all know that won't happen.

Grundy head-to-head with Martin. Greenwood should tag one of Beams and Zorko, but we rarely tag.

To be honest, I'd rather lose Reid than quite a few other players. Essentially we've lost a VFL player for the rest of the year. Imagine if we lost JDG or Pendles to a calf injury. |
