Rance was bagged out early in his career because he was playing like a chump. Darcy gets bagged out because he's often injured...

Let's leave the comparisons for a time when Darcy is getting 20 rebounds a game and doesn't have to pick up a forward.

So, after 54 failed attempts, you’re confident he’ll have a 20 disposal game one day, are you?

To put that observation in context, Goldsack had 20 disposals in his 12th game, Scharenberg in his 8th and the Future Captain, of course, did so in his first. At the other end, Cloke took 26 games to get there - but he still did so when he was 19.

Without doubt Darcy will become an absolute gun player....if he can overcome his injury problems.

Because of these, however, it's clear our club has been cautious in not offering him a large contract, despite his expectation that he would get one this time round.

The ball is now in his court. He either accepts a small/moderate contract for a year or two, and then hopes that his performance will demand a large increase (in money and length) next time around, or he decides to move to Sydney and accept a huge contract now.

I hope/expect he'll stay with us.

^^ If he leaves what would be your expectation for a return, pick wise?

1st and 2nd round pick.

Doesn't it depend on who you are trading with. A first and second pick from Carlton is infinitely better than a first and second pick from Richmond.

No way would i give up on Darcy Moore. No Way. Not while he is still club controlled. These hammy issues are likely just to cost Moore money. I'd say his contract extension is $400k per year for 2 more years, rather than $500k without the injury and $600k if he had of been able to show star quality. If Moore truly believes that he will get better, then he might opt to extend for only one year rather than 2.

I agree. He has the potential to be the best KPP in the comp in 2-3 yrs. But right now, it's potential only. Injuries have prevented him from achieving much at all. Fingers crossed he has the sense to stay here for less money, while he has the opportunity to prove himself as a top flight KPP.
