No, but they have a Hippy, a Taylor, and a Zorko...

I doubt we’ll win now as Moore’s injury was one too many. I don’t think De Goey will be available either.

Out: Brown, Daics, Moore

In: Howe, Blair, Fasolo

If JDG and Howe are fit for next week, I think we can and will defeat the Lions clearly. Magden's debut would have been so demoralizing for him, but he should not wear any blame for Franklin's domination tonight. Magden looked good when there was another tall defender, and our midfield pressure was adequate. When our midfield pressure declined, and Darcy was injured, it was just impossible to expect a first game player could hold the fort against Franklin. I would play him again. In fact, we have no choice but to do so, but I am glad he is getting a second crack. Brisbane are not too fast for us...we have plenty of speed. Our game is predicated on midfield pressure. When we can't maintain it, with so many of our elite players out, we will be exposed. If JDG returns next week, this will be a massive boost for the midfield. I

Moores injury increase our chances greatly, might have been worried if he was playing

Did he even do his hammy? Or was it just a bit tight?

Yeah, if JDG is not available it is much harder. I think fatigue caught up with Sidey and Pendles tonight. I would not drop Daicos, I thought he was Ok and we need to get games into him. Howe to replace Moore, Mihocek will play in defence and Fas to replace Brown.

Yeah, but you’ve said that before virtually every game this year.

It won't be an easy game but at least it's down here. Our ins will be huge. I think a few things worked against us tonight. The SCG strangled our style of game. Unfortunately we rarely used the corridor and the small ground meant we couldn't exploit our speed.

Exactly, we had to play their game style this week because of their shit ground, and we nearly got over them despite having no luck. If we play next week as we did tonight, with JDG and Howe back, we should account for them, though it is no gimme.

Still dangerous IMO. A couple of quiet games. Wasn't alone. JT was quiet and at times this year they've both had quiet games but then step up every alternate week.

That ground was kryptonite for Stevenson. His game is based on pushing up the ground then outpacing the defense by running back into space. He was doing this when Varcoe kicked his last goal with Stevo five meters in the clear to his left. Etihad is not as good for him as the G, but he’ll be much more dangerous there. The opposition would prefer him out.

Ins : Aish, JDG, Howe
Outs : Brown, Daicos, Moore

Is there a fairytale comeback or some significant issue that the Lions are bringing? We always get these games and the opposition lifts to beat us.

Look and see Buddy fade away in the coming weeks or be rested

I fear for this game.

First game back for JDG (if he is back) and Howe ... they'd not be in the same form as they've been before they got injured.

Plus. the Lions are playing well, only lost by 3 points tonight and had the opportunity to win. So they will lift for next week

Might not be in Brisbane's best interests to win if they want to hang onto pick 2 or 3.

Nah rolling the dice always loses for us. Just play a guy who can get through the game. Our system is very strong, and if our players all stay on the field, we can overpower Brisbane.

You’re right, in that it’s far better to have a player not play at all than go down in the first half,
