Season stuffed now.

Had to win one of the last two games and lost both.

Can't afford to fall asleep for nearly two quarters and expect to play finals.

No more Moore. Sick of losing games because we're a man down early because of this guy.

He's singlehandedly killing us!

We're still fourth.

We'll be 6th by the end of the round.

At least we get Brisbane and Freo. Still plenty to play out. Doesn't make me feel any better though.

You say “Brisbane” like they’re easy beats.

Best Haw twice, lost by less than a kick to us, Adel, Roos.

They’ll beat us.

Not easy beats but not exactly Richmond or West Coast.

The entire team was to blame for that loss tonight. Looked flat and ordinary. No run and carry that's split open opposition teams like we've become used to seeing. We never looked likely after half time. Losing Moore didn't help and that 3rd quarter was deplorable. Inaccurate kicking combined with an ineffective midfield and dysfunctional forward line and we were always going to be up against it. The coke muncher had a field day with a little help from the yellow maggots and a bloke who hasn't played for 6 yrs probably had more possessions than our midfield combined we were that bad.

Meh, we were playing with about six players that should have been in the reserves against an AFL Frankenstein side that was desperate to win on its uniquely hard to play home ground. It was a brave effort, and some days it just doesn't go your way.

f***ing sh!ts me. why can't we ever catch a break and have something go our way!? it always goes against us and everything comes at such a cost.

Langdon was terrible. His mistakes were costly. It’s just not sustainable to have a defender who keeps making the wrong decisions

Bullshit,
He played his heart out, you can’t pick 1 moment, or even two.
Sidey should have run the Ball in, crisp should have passed off, there is two more maybe goals,

With the back line we have, and some midfielders not showing up, well yes it’s dissappointing, but you can’t bag this team for this loss. So much heart to almost get back there. Just 1 of the big outs would have won this for us.

Yes T P, if de goey played, we win, simple as that. sigh.

Whilst im upset at the loss, at least we fought it right out, despite our massive injury toll. Moore going off really hit us, it was the tipping point in the game. But, at three qtr time, I thought swans would run away with it, we had run outa soldiers. So u have to give our boys credit, against all odds, we hit the front late, and could have pinched it. Im not really that upset, cos I see a hell of a lot of fight in this undermanned team, a fierce will to never, ever give up, no matter what the odds, this will stand us in good stead, down the track. Next week, get back Howe, de goey, maybe one other, and we can take the Lions, I reckon. This season is far from done.!!

Love this. So true. Just like last week. Lost again because of injuries. But this team is full of guts and determination

Well done to Grundy, Tay, Murray, Varcoe, Sier, Greenwood and the wonderful WHE.

For some reason, Pendles couldn't kick tonight and Sidey only really got going in the last quarter.

Exactly.

We will bounce back next week, we should get Goey back and Howe. We will kill em.

So we might not make top 4, who knows, it’s still wide open. $£$%^%%$ hell some of you, we played the ladder leader a week ago, and ran them almost to the end, and now travelling to a ground that has the biggest home ground advantage there is, and our fifth pick defender had to play on a firing buddy. wash your mouths out. Take a breath. Last year we were all in shock that our coach got more time, and here we are, we will make finals. Some really disgusting comments in the last pages of the game thread, and in here.

No one player cost this game. Not Sidey, not cox, not Buckley. 2 $£$%^%%$ points. That’s home ground advantage right there .

Go Pies, I’m standing side by side, and I’ll be there next week when we kick Brisbane back to the boon docks.

Cox and Mayne’s kicking cost us.The one that Mayne missed in the third quarter was something any bush league player should be able to kick.

Yep, heart breaking loss, loved the effort by the boys, When Moore went down again i actually had a moment where I came to the conclusion....What is the point of making top four this year? we are so injured we have a category B player on Buddy. We are going to get destroyed.

Maybe for this year it is better we finish bottom half of the eight, put the players who are not fit out for the year ... play an elimination final and take a better draft pick.

I just don't see us matching it with the best sides in the comp come September with no back line. Who is coming back that will make a difference?

Like i say i loved the effort tonight by all 22, and i am one who will say with hand on heart i picked Bucks gone by now but I think he has built a great team...if only we could keep them on the park.... Moore obviously has been rushed back and is not fit.

If Moore didn’t play vs Richmond or sydney, he doesn’t take Howe out, Howe plays veld Sydney, Moore’s replacement plays four quarters, and we defect sydney comfortably. Just saying...

Yep, this great game of ours can be exceedingly cruel.

Geez though, this team has heart and that could just prevail in the end.

I thought the 5-0 goal third quarter did the real damage.

Blaming it on Cox is a bit tough in my view. Think he showed signs tonight his confidence is rising as a marking forward option.
