I'd rather have May for next season. Much more an urgent need for a key back at the moment.

I'd agree, but leave him at the Suns until his contract expires in 2019, and legitimately poach him for 2020. The AFL won't cop the Suns hemorrhaging players to stronger clubs for much longer, particularly whilst under contract.

If this upcoming draft is indeed all it promises to be, then we simply cannot afford to trade away our first pick on May, despite his talent. Get him for sweet FA in the following trade period. We need to hold our nerve here.

Forget Lynch, as he isn't that much younger than Cox anyway, and it remains to be seen how bad his knee prognosis is long term. It's culled him twice in two seasons now. Bitchmond would have to move Reivolt out to CHF to take grabs and farm it off to the mids to pump into Lynch; both of them could not function in the same space, it would ruin their set up.

We will definitely take Will Kelly in the draft as a CHB, so they will get to see a year of his development if May wasn’t under consideration until end of 2019.
It might yet be that Kellys development has an influence on the May decision anyway. There’s a lot that will play out in between now and any decision on May at end of 2019.
Kelly has had a cracking year but has dropped off a bit in the last month. What more could we want 😉

As for Lynch, you only have to look at Buddy’s time at Sydney to remind everyone that there are no certainties in footy just because you had a big name to your list.

Will Kelly would learn plenty from May; sniping aside, and that's without any further input or anecdotes from Craig Wink

Hoping Sydney's premiership window is closing with age, although they rebuild well on the run, without missing finals series?!
They were somewhat unlucky not to win with Franklin in either 2014 or 2016

The papers today said that Collingwood, Hawthorn and Richmond all think he is going to the Tigers.

I think he's going to the Tigers too.

Apparently Pies and Hawks have been told to forget about Lynch and move on

'He's not any good anyway'.

'He didn't dump us, we dumped him'.

'His knees are shot anyway'.

'He'll never win a flag at Richmond'.

'Cox will be a better forward than he ever ever will!'

'We weren't even interested anyway!'

'We made the Tiggs pay overs for him'.

'Welcome Steven May!'

Am I missing any...?
