I think the club is happy with our forward line as it is. The only change needed this week is to replace Shaz, which I think will be with Madgen. The other possible change would be to drop Brown and bring back Sier, who only missed last week through injury. |
Have to agree, RudeBoy. Madgen's late upgrade and addition to the emergency list last week sends a clear message that he is primed for a spot.
Losing Shaz means that this is now a fait accompli.
My expectation is that there will be only one change this week, as mentioned, Madgen for Shaz. Both Howe and Miochek should get up. _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world, those that understand binary and those that don't. |

Should get a run this week, I reckon, particularly with our defensive stocks so thin. Has worked hard for a call-up, and deserves one last chance to prove himself at AFL level. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

He's been named in the senior side.
It's his final chance to prove he's up to AFL standard. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Surely he'd be playing senior football elsewhere... he's no where near as bad as some of you say, yes he lacks physical presence but he does have some attractive attributes imo _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |

I really don't know what happened to Ox in recent seasons and how he fell so far off the radar. I thought he showed plenty of promise. Was it injuries? Form? Not strong enough? All of the above? Surely his last chance to prove something, I wish him all the best. _________________ Fault finding is like window washing. All the dirt seems to be on the other side.

All of the above.
He's not an AFL standard defender, though. Truth be told, from the limited time he's spent there in the reserves, I've always thought he made a much better forward... _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

Interesting thoughts, MB. You're probably right about standard, he couldn't even get a look in before a rookie upgrade. Regardless, still wish him well _________________ Fault finding is like window washing. All the dirt seems to be on the other side.

Hopefully he will play like he did against Melbourne a few years ago when he was an intercepting marking machine. _________________ How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say? |

Seems the Ox played OK last week in the VFL.
This from the match report:
Adam Oxley
Third third of the emergencies for the AFL team, Oxley travelled to Sydney but wasn't required, so he travelled home and lined up in the VFL against the Hawks. Did his cause no harm with a very solid performance.
Stats summary: 23 disposals, 7 rebound 50s

Hope he has a blinder tonight. |

Hopefully Howe is back next week and we can add an extra AFL caliber footballer back there. Oxley is not quite up to it unfortunately. good honest battler, but not AFL caliber for a team who wants to win a final. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Howe for Oxley is the obvious change.
Don't think Oxley will be here next year. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Pretty ordinary game but probably no worse than WHE, Cox or Thomas. Difference of course is the latter aren't fighting to stay on the list. You'd think he's played his last game but with our injury curse you just never know. _________________ Fault finding is like window washing. All the dirt seems to be on the other side.
