I'm gonna go back 28 years, 1990. Essendon were red hot that year, they beat us twice but in the second match out at Waverley we pushed them hard all day, and we knew, on our day we could match them and beat them. The rest is history.

I think that if we get back De Goey, Treloar and Elliott. Perhaps Goldsack and don’t suffer any more serious injuries (ie Scharenberg is ok) then we can have a genuine tilt at the flag this year. It is funny how a loss can sometimes indicate more than a win. Tigers are gettable. This is the first time that I thought this way. West Coast are also a legitimate contender.

but it won't happen

We'll get them back and during the next game against the Tigers, we'll lose Grundy and Penles before 1/2 time with injury.

There's one thing I'm certain of and that is that we're coming! We lost the battle today but Richmond should be very afraid come finals time.

Yep 100 percent spot on.

Haff, seriously? The last page you said they rolled over? Not sure what game you watched, yes they slowed down but they pushed to the end, watch Adams in the last minute, that was a hell of a game, against the best in the comp, three defenders down, I just can’t believe anyone would have a crack at any player out there today. Just pathetic.

I take so much from that game, a hiding looked likely but they fought back even after losing Howe and the Shazza, THAT right there is a team, and a champion team in the making. Be afraid, be very afraid, we are about to get back to our rightful place, the team EVERYONE else loves to HATE!

And just aside, how does dusty get away with the throat gouge fend off? Surely that’s not kosher

They had a crack but still rolled over. Plenty of positives out there but I guess I’m the eternal pessimist unlike yourself.

Absolutely agree. Put even Howie back in our side for the full game today and the smart-arses would've been worried.
So very concerned about my boy Shazz , but hoping he had just suffered a bruise to the knee, like WHE apparently did and he has continued to play brilliantly.

WHE was contact injury. Schaz’s wasnt. Fingers crossed it’s minor (and by minor, I mean out for this year, and not next, that’s what it has come to, that we’re hoping a player only misses 10 weeks!)

Very proud, although I wanna face these pricks in September with a full squad.
All I want is to get through a game with no injuries, is that even possible?

Fk that, over it!

Also we can’t make excuses. I’m annoyed Richmond don’t have any injury concerns and we have little but but we still had 18 out there and didn’t fire a shot in the last.

That was an awe inspiring game from CFC.Last quarter was so stacked against us that you can forget it as any kind of realistic measure of where we stand. If somehow we could stoo losing guys from injury then we are as good as anyone. That is what this game shows.I hope to God Schazza is Ok

It incredible the way the Tigers don't get fatigue based injuries and run out games like that...given its Tour de France season, perhaps its appropriate to describe it as Armstrongesque....

You gave me goosebumps, still the best day I ever lived, and I just said to my daughter we will beat them in the grand final. Cheers

I’m convinced you’re a troll. We still had 18? Half of them are kids with bodies that can’t play a full game out when rotations are limited. They were freakin’ SPENT.

Maybe because we were exhausted by playing with two men down. Mihocek was restricted by an ankle injury as well.

I'm at a loss to know why we get so many injuries, whereas Richmond seem to have none. Maybe because we try so hard and extend our physical capabilities to the very edge.

There’s a difference between having legit AFL players out there & low key Reserves players filling in due to injury.
