Elite teams lose with injuries. The Eagles lost three in a row without Kennedy and Darling. Tigers lost without Martin.

Injuries aren't an excuse, they are a legitimate reason for losing. Some injuries can be covered but almost all hurt the team to some degree. Then there are those that make winning very tough, ie. like us losing Cox on top of our other missing players against the Eagles. With no target player forward, McGovern had a picnic.

There are no elite teams. The fixture is unequal. Injuries do largely determine the premiers. It's not excuses, because this is true of all teams. But I have no idea when the Tigers will start getting injuries...
