Post subject: Our dead-eye forward line
|
Our goal kicking this year has been a thing of beauty, after many seasons of waywardness.
I was curious to see what our numbers were so dug up the following from our stats page:-
WHE - 34.12 @ 73.9%
JDG - 30.10 @ 75%
Thomas - 28.9 @75.7%
Stepho - 28.14 @ 66.7%
Cox - 15.5 @ 75%
They are a beautiful set of numbers!
I'd be surprised if our forward line is not the most accurate in the comp.
Well done to our coaches for turning this around. _________________ Hearing the 'Black & White Army' roar is the greatest sound in the world. |

Not surprised by JTs accuracy, the man has ice running through his veins, rarely misses a gettable shot _________________ "The last thing he expected WAS THE FIRST THING HE GOT!!!!!"

The spread and accuracy has been a welcome surprise. Pre-season It was a bit hard to see where our goals would come from and if you factor in Elliott, Fasolo Reid being out it is a great result.
Commentary today said none of these guys were in our top 3 goal scorers from 2017 (Elliott, Fasolo and Moore). _________________ All We Can Be |

Last I checked we were the most accurate in the comp.
Our forward line is one of the best, though atm is a bit too reliant on Cox. He was a big out last week. _________________ Well done boys! |

Spot on!
If I'm honest, I don't want Reid or Moore back into the forward line. We're proving to be much more dangerous and unpredictable without them.
I suspect Reid may be finished and Moore on the periphery given he can't get his body right. |

Russell Robertson kicked 15 snags in a game today so it’s all relative. _________________ All We Can Be |

Was it just a point was it? Boy, they hang a man for the smallest transgression in these times don't they? _________________ "The last thing he expected WAS THE FIRST THING HE GOT!!!!!"

The spread is what is most pleasing. Imagine Elliott down there as well _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Settle gretel, it was an attempt at humour.
The point remains, is your point that he's a good shot for goal, and has been a bloody good play. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Best spread of goalkickers I've seen since 2010/2011, and the best under the Buckley era. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

It's the players, not the coaches.
Jamie is also a very accurate set shot, or at least he used to be. Hope he can make it back. |
