The quick gather and kick to the goal square in last quarter that we marked and goaled was special considering he gathered the ball in with one hand, had a North player fast approaching him but kicked a beautiful drop punt when others would have most likely kicked a “helicopter ball” instead.

I rate him quite highly and think he's cemented a best 22 spot even when Treloar returns.
A very big body, sticks his tackles, generally uses the ball well. I don't think he gets enough of it to ever be a true star, and his body certainly isn't going to develop much more, but I think he can be a good long time contributor.
The only thing is he reminds he a lot of Rupert Wills, who I also thought would be a good player and seems to have completely fallen out of favour now. |

He's been healthy pretty much all year, hasn't he? |
And was an emergency several times. He's been out with a hammy for the past few weeks. Sier potentially got his spot in the AFL team and has done enough to keep it for now.

He has done that well perfected disposal as he cleared the contest in other games—-imagine 50 games ito this kid
They will be saying “Dusty WHO!!!”

Brayden brings something unique to the midfield with his height, bulk and clearance skills. Continued endurance improvements over the next season should be handy.

He's still only 21. If he can add some more strength to that already sizeable frame he'll be bursting through tackles at AFL level the same way he does in the VFL.

| His main problem atm is his engine. He was struggling badly to play out the game in the last quarter yesterday. Hopefully another pre-season will boost his tank to where it needs to be to play as a midfielder in the seniors. Currently, he is lacking the necessary conditioning imo. Once he gets that, he could be a real weapon for us. |

one of his strengths is his booming kicks - off one step he sends them 50 - 60 metres and breaks lines with this

Skier is certainly showing all the signs....
But as a few people have said already....
He is just not fit enough....yet!
The difference in the speed of the game from the state leagues to the big time is dramatic so if he gets that sorted look out!

I mentioned it during the norf game... I love this bloke. He has come in and filled the role asked of him. Anyone worried about not having more than 19 touches it will come at half time against West coast he had 12 and copped a corky, I watched him run it out on the boundary and went back on then picked up another 2 touches but his leg was no good if he stayed fit he was on track for 24+ and it was also the same time he went off we started losing the midfield battle.

I love how quick he is to launch a 50m punt off one step as soon as heat is applied. Cox gave him a terrible over the top handball on the weekend, he was about to get brought down, felt the heat and launched an accurate drop punt to the top of the goal square into DeGoey’s lap.

Most descriptions of him highlight his strength at the contest and how big he is. The thing that stands out to me though, has been how smoothly he moves through traffic.
He can be a little hasty to give off a handball, but this has improved over the games he's played. His disposal by hand is elite and his kicking isn't far behind - just under-utilised.
I'm a fan of what he brings and excited by how that will improve.
He's definitely starting to justify his draft selection. |

Rumour has it that Hine rates him ahead of JDG, Stevenson and Schaz in terms of what he can and should become if he applies himself. In one yer he has gone from barely noticeable reserves player to having an impact in a top four AFL team.

Interestingly Gary Lyon compared him to Josh Kennedy.
Even if he is half as good, that would be a bonus for us. |

Hine always likes to over-rate the Hine specials ahead of the recruitment of stars. its self affirmation. Didnt he also say that Murphy was a pick 6 calibre player if Stevo wasnt there at pick 6?
