What do people think of this guy?

I rate him quite highly and think he's cemented a best 22 spot even when Treloar returns.

A very big body, sticks his tackles, generally uses the ball well. I don't think he gets enough of it to ever be a true star, and his body certainly isn't going to develop much more, but I think he can be a good long time contributor.

The only thing is he reminds he a lot of Rupert Wills, who I also thought would be a good player and seems to have completely fallen out of favour now.

Tracking nicely. Good kick, tough inside. Will get better. Not sure he’s cemented best 22 though.

Drops his head after a failed attempt quickly.

I reckon he's a beauty. Good footy brain, has great awareness and very quick to find an option. Reminds me of Josh Kennedy Sydney. I think Wills holds on to the footy too long and tries to barge his way through too often before dishing off

When I plugged for his inclusion it was on the brute force component he would bring to the mid and as some one said allow the likes of Daicos space outside
His job bullock and free up the ball for fleet foot brigade

But after watching him in the big time he’s way more than a barge —he seriously can win his own ball and kick it to that sweet spot all forwards love

His disposal is very good and with coaching staff will get better

Hard to be in favour when you're out injured.

Wow, I'd love to see that, but other than the body, I don't really see it. Kennedy's a clearance / contested possession machine. Sier hasn't got more than 19 disposals in a game yet.

Actually, one other similarity is that Kennedy was drafted before 2007, and didn't become a regular until 2010. So, maybe not completely crazy.

He's been healthy pretty much all year, hasn't he?

Has been very impressive. From what I have seen so far, his footy smarts stand out as his best attribute. Makes good decisions. Has a very bright future.

It’s all about senior AFL match fitness.

People derestinate how hard it is to play this sport, especially for 18-22 year olds. Run a mini marathon, while tackling or being tackled. Once miles are in legs and body matures, he’ll be a beauty.

I am still to see anything more than the highlights but I was interested about how he went yesterday
I can still see Sier and Wills combining with our existing Mids such as the Captain, DeGoey and maybe our pair of Brodies to create a a fleet of big buggers to just scare the opposition

I know we need some outside runners but they way football is progressing the more 190 to 195 cm mids / forwards / defenders we have in the 22 the better
But happy that Sier is getting continous games like Brody number 2

We have few under 20 games who are really giving us something

He's tracking really well, but watching him closely in the last quarter, it was clear he was absolutely phucked. He needs to work on his engine. Another pre-season should do the trick.

Hope he keeps his spot, but he may be the one who goes out to make way for Moore's return against the Tigers.

A weak point in a strong midfield at this stage. Would definitely make way for Treloar if he returns.

For a 20 year old with a few games to his name though, he's doing quite well. I like the depth on his kicking and that he was able to win 5 clearances this week. I'd have to watch him more closely but pace, and running in general, looks to be a worry - if we're comparing to Kennedy this is where Sier doesn't yet come close. Seems more agile and skilled than Wills so is more likely to make it.

He is not a flashy player, he is a get the ball player you don't notice as much. The Coaching staff would be happy.
