When did you think we had the game won on Friday night?
For mine it was Grundy's goal in the final quarter. The roar from the crowd was reminiscent of the 2010 Prelim Final. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

I thought Treloar's was the sealer, Grundy the icing. Tbh though, I really couldn't see us losing after half time. Generally, when a team gets off to a flier, the supposedly better opposition usually gets back on level terms in the 2nd quarter. We extended our lead, with Higgins' late goal only due to Phillips slipping over. Despite the commentators' best efforts, I thought it would take some major catastrophe to lose it from there. This team just doesn't lose games of footy after being 50 points up _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Grundys goal. You could see Richmond lose all hope at that point.
I was very confident at half time but very nervous. Cos we had something to lose. |

Checkers goal in the 3rd. At half time I thought they are going to come out steaming and throw everything at us and they did and got a couple of goals but we stood firm and then the checkers goal, I turned to my son and said that’s it we have got these $&@&$. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Grundy's goal did it for me. I knew for certain then that we were going to the big dance. _________________ I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within. |

Yep. That was the heart-breaker. They are a good side and mentally tough, as all premiership sides have to be, so they kept on trying after that, but they never really believed that they could win after Checker's goal. That was when the dream died for them. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

When we were up 10 goals to one up; like everyone I had my heart in my mouth when they got within 21, but we were always going to have chances to score as they had opened it up trying to cut down the lead _________________ "The last thing he expected WAS THE FIRST THING HE GOT!!!!!"

When Cox started marking everything and kicking those goals in the 2nd.
At one point Rance gets caught well behind, Cox takes the mark. Rance looks to the umpires with is arms wide open, claiming a free.........when he was OUTMARKED!!!! I knew we had them!! |

Treloar goal stopped their run and gave us back momentum. Grundy goal sealed it, game over _________________ "Hey Ma get off the dang roof!" |

^ It was a lovely bit of checking from Checkers, took his eye off the ball for a second though, so could have been called....probably would have been if Richmond was dominating _________________ "The last thing he expected WAS THE FIRST THING HE GOT!!!!!"

After De Goey's first goal although I wasn't getting ahead of myself but right after that I turned to my girlfriend and said "We're on tonight. If we're nailing shots like that, we'll win."
That being said there was a weird feeling from the get-go that Collingwood were switched-on and Richmond were not. |

JDG’s one handed mark vs Rance.
Lost my shit.
Then nearly literally when it was 21 points early in the last. _________________ Est. 2002 |
