Goldy was amazed too... He said that he had not expected Pendlebury to reveal such things publicly. Looks like the captain needs more communication training...

I don't see the problem with it at all... Why not put a positive spin on our resent injury woes?
Dunn might be out BUT Goldie not far off.... You beauty!

It's only not a problem because Goldy is so easy-going. It's really the player's info and his decision about what should or should not be divulged. (It sounded like Goldsack had had a private conversation with Pendlebury, even if that was not what Pendlebury referred to on radio.) If it happened to some more highly strung player and threw him off, it would just be bad captaincy. The club doesn't need positive spin for the fans; it needs what's best for the individual players.

It's no big secret that Goldsack is back on deck. Last week's injury report video by Geoff Walsh showed Goldsack doing jumps and twists in the gym. No surprise that he's now back into on-field training.

See from about the 2:50 mark of this video: http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/video/2018-07-10/update-on-hoskinelliotts-injury )

^ As soon as he was spotted on the training track doing whatever, there was no secret (that he on the training track doing whatever)...

That's very different from a clear declaration that he thinks he can return before finals.

OK i am going to take the Collingwood injury report at face value, and on the basis:
Cox will be OK for next week
Sier will be OK for next week
So: Cox in, Crocker out
Brown in, Daicos out.
(Time for Callum Brown to have a go).
Nothing else possible nor desirable.

Drop this one, and all bets are off, if we cant beat Norf, we wont beat tigers, swans, giants, THIS is an incredibly vital game now, very much so. !!

^ Yes a real litmus test. Fail this and our season may be in freefall.

In: Cox, Murray
Out: Crocker, Daicos

Brown, Crocker, Daicos and McLarty have been named as emergencies.

Yup, lose this, and we probably are 11 - 8 and in 9th position going into the Brisbane game.

Even better news, Jacobs isn’t back for the Kangas.
Sidey should get his mojo back.

This side is 10 times better than the one the ran out last Sunday. McLarty a very good emergency if required. Murray will star. Moore & Varcoe will be better for the run last week and the rest will not have 2 shockers in a row. Go Pies

Guess Cox not 100% with McLarty as 1 of the Emergencies

height and pace into the side= tick.

Daicos has been quiet of late, but will be better for the experience.
I expect Callum Brown to return soon- he needs exposure against the top sides to optimise his growth as a senior player.

Assuming that Blair, Elliot and Fasolo are named in the VFL team, we will have some very high quality depth in the wings.

I expect a big finish from the VFL team to what has been a strong season from them- if they play a few finals, it will give our younger players exposure to pressure finals footy.

Well we're 2 players stronger than last weeks side so it's a good start.

I would have liked Brown in for one of old timers in Greenwood, Varcoe or Mayne.

Murray to the wing please Bux and actually stick some tackles! Need to destroy them in the midfield to ensure Daw and Brown get limited opportunities.

You want Greenwood in the trenches against his old side. I'll be surprised if he is not named in the best this week.
