So WHE has bruising to his shin?
Interesting.

Very interesting, is this confirmed from the club?

Buckley in the presser.

Said it was knee on knee. So must be high shin then.

So broken leg then?

What a fantastic win. What a great last quarter.

The captain really stood up in the last, as did Sidey, De Goey & Grundy. And also Cox. Those marks he took down back in the third really saved us.

Can't believe we have more injuries. Hopefully Moore, Varcoe & Elliott are not far away. Not sure the intra club match next week will be the same as a real game.

I think we will beat west coast next week but we really need to get some of those players back soon.

Hope WHE isn't out long.

Evening you lot.
Great win.
Very happy indeed.
Undermanned and a really hard fought victory.
Man our young crew are really starting to play with old heads.
Its a pleasure to watch.

Long way to go yet but isnt it a great feeling.

Go Pies

That was an impressive win. About half the team was unsighted to halftime, so to get up like that and run over the top of the opposition was a good effort.

Essendon today looked about the same as they did on ANZAC Day. Playing better but not exactly differently. We weren't as good offensively as we have been, but overwhelmed them in the end.

Pace is a great thing to have. The problem is quick players are usually not as good in the contest and that's largely where we beat them today. We again did well at not allowing them space to run into. The Bombers don't have the right balance. Not strong enough inside and too tall up forward.

That was a great win.I thought all day that we were going to lose, because everything just seemed to be going wrong for us.The forward line was awful and the midfield was getting thrashed,so to pull out a win like that in the last quarter was a great credit to everyone in the side. Here's hoping WHE's injury wasn''t as bad as it looked, because we really can't afford to get anymore serious injuries to key players.

We shouldn't underestimate the significance of that win today. They were up for the challenge and pushed us all the way, but good teams always find a way to win - no matter what! We showed composure and fought the game out to the end but turned the ball over at times and looked unstable in defense and bombing it into the forward line. Once we got things back on our terms we turned the tide and put the foot down. Our best players stood up when we needed them to but a n all round solid team effort. Go Pies!

It is now certain that we are a very well coached side. The true test is how you perform with first choice players out. Does the game plan still stand up? In our case it absolutely has.

Er, not that Im out to bash Langdon but didnt he start on Brown who kicked their first two goals. Not sure when Langdon swapped over though.
Just watching back, Maynard did go to Brown also.
There were obviously a lot of handovers when all our defenders are hybrid flankers.

We've been winning ugly since the bye, but I'll take winning ugly over losing.

Loved how we gut'sd it out in the end, very good signs

We have been well coached this year and crap coaching the last 6.
It is a simple as that.

Langdon did at times. He also kept Esendon in it a few times as well. He's like a bag of mixed lollies - you're not to sure what you're gunna get.
