Great win, at one stage it was looking like the game was going to slip away, great comeback. with our injury list all supporters should be proud of where we are. some tough weeks coming up, I expect us to drop some games. If we can get some players back on the ground and playing well, we might win more than expected. No matter what happens, this has been a better than expected season. Go Pies

I haven't seen the stats, but Thomas and Phillips both seemed to have quiet games....again. We need these guys firing as they are very important.

FWIW, I thought it was just about Crisp's best game ever for our club.

Again? Thomas was near best on last week and Phillips was just about our best in the second half.

This week, Phillips had 21 and Thomas 11.

A dementia moment.....Thomas was very quiet 2 weeks ago before playing a blinder last week, but he's put in a very quiet one again today. Phillips was regularly racking up 30 plus possessions earlier in the year, and he may well be playing a different role, but he doesn't seem to be impacting games anywhere near as much as he was back then.

Jarryd Rivers from CFC website:
“He (Smith) really led the boys in the forward half, and Darcy down back just looked like a natural defender.”

So Smith did play forward? That's interesting.

Neither of them should play. they need a few weeks of slow footy. i heard that we are planning an intraclub game next week.

And far fewer injuries to key players.

We can only do what we can with what we've got and all credit to the team and coaches for maximizing this.

We had better be. Moore will need another game and Elliott looks like he'll be ready to return.

In case anyone else has, like me, an unwarranted, irrational dislike of Jake Stringer, let me state that he managed 1 point today.

Despite us not playing a single KPD against their triple "threat".

It was fantastic wasn't it. I noticed at one point how quiet he had been. I too share the irrational dislike!! Laughing Not fair on him no doubt, but he originates from my area and similar characters seem to abound in this neck of the woods. Again, probably a very unfair personality assessment seeing as I don't know the guy. Wink

Don't worry, those that knew him at the Dogs seemed to have a similar assessment.

Another good game from Mihocek. He is not an accumulator of possessions, but he gives us structure and his strong body and contesting in packs is important for us. He generally kicks a goal and has a hand in another couple.
