Just a heads up to the guys and gals doing the design work for Option 1 (the tunnel). First, if they move it slightly to the right, they could go under the Carlton Social Club and, with any luck, it might get swallowed up by a tunnel collapse. Secondly, if they want to keep it on their current alignment, it might need to wiggle a bit more than the present design does - it looks like they may be keen to put the tunnel under my music room. If they do, they'll need to have an elaborate system of traffic signals, because the rail project is already building a train tunnel there. Alternatively, I suppose they could just do a rail overpass at that point and come up through the floor. I could move the piano a bit to the left (you'd like that, wouldn't you?) and the dogs and us could just pop up to the third storey whenever a train comes along. |

I wonder what their strategy is: underground level crossings? Or, to channel ancient Hindu texts, maybe it’s tunnels all the way down... _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
