Other weakness is the shortcomings in our bottom handful of players. For example Daicos/Mihocek - inexperience/disappearing for large patches; Murray/Appleby - kicking; Greenwood/Mayne/Reid - speed or agility, etc. They say finals are won by the team whose bottom 6 are stronger than the other team's. If that's right then we could be in trouble. |
From Monday's team, I'd say only Mihocek and Daicos were average performers. If they are our worst, then we are in top shape. |

That’s an interesting point. For a long while, we all believed that sides won or lost finals on the back of their bottom 6 players.
I think the game has changed so much in the last couple years, that finals are now won on the back of those bottom six performing their role or not.
To me that means that the bottom six no longer have to be as skilled and talented these days as they did in the past.
Now the bottom six just have to firstly understand and then correctly act out on their role.
The Dogs won their flag with a few key players missing. Richmond won a flag on the back of a forward line that nobody had ever heard of ( bar Riewoldt )
Hopefully one of the new found strengths of our club, is that all players on the list know their role so much better this year as compared to previous years.
Personally, I’m a believer of winning finals teams needing to have a good spread of multiple goal kickers. These days it’s just to easy to stop a one trick pony forward line. Obviously that’s another area we are strong in.
Bring it on. |

Another tall back. Dunn only has a couple of years left so it might be Moore and McLarty, maybe Will Kelly if drafted as F/S
No genuine small forward crumber (haven't had one since the Krak in 2012)
Quick small running defender (Sam Murray fits the bill here) ideally develop as not only a quick running defender to break lines but a great 1 on 1 player to handle the likes of Bruest, Puopulo etc who always tear us a new one. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Quaynor fills the last need. Small quick lock down back. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Our weakness will be the 3-4 rounds after the bye. Expected to win but the players will be on holiday |

We need a fit Kirby, or if he isn't able to go on, somebody like him.
We should pick up another KP or two in the draft, and we have Moore and McClarty to come in so we're ok there. _________________ kill for collingwood! |

A key back but at present I really wouldn’t say it’s a weakness. We genuinely have three of the finest intercept marks in the game in Langdon, Howe and Scharenberg. If Dunn went down I’d send Mihocek to full back. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

I would like a forward crumber. With Stephenson there as well, and Cox to provide the forward crumbs, this would be a deadly forward line. Imagine it with Elliott as well. This would virtually be the missing piece in the current jigsaw.
Another tall defender is pretty much essential as well, since both Dunn and Reid are approaching the end of their careers, and McCarty is still not proven. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!
