Pies had a 29 point win over Darebin @ Victoria Park and remain on top of the VFLW ladder.
VFLW Pies celebrate at Victoria Park
Collingwood’s VFL Women’s team registered a 29-point victory in its history-making clash against Darebin at Victoria Park on Sunday.
Magpies’ Penny Cula-Reid told of the mixed emotions as she watched her team become the first female side to represent Collingwood in an official match at the club’s spiritual home.

The Pies had their first for the season, losing to the NT Thunder who are now top of the ladder.
The Thunder had an advantage in the ruck and had better marking targets around the ground. Pies could have won the game but didn't make the most of their forward entries.
With a game in hand (NT have a Bye last round) Pies could finish top, will definitely play finals.
Next game is against the 7th placed Southern Saints in Moe on Saturday. _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |

COLLINGWOOD 6.6 (42) d SOUTHERN SAINTS 0.4 (4)
In a nutshell: After having their undefeated streak broken by the NT Thunder last week, Collingwood came out with a point to prove a Ted Summerton Reserve in Moe, defeating the Saints on the back of three goals from Daisy Bateman. The Magpies had arguably their best defensive performance of the season, keeping the Saints goalless throughout.
Key moment: A dominant second-half performance by Bateman was the catalyst for the Collingwood’s big win, the Oakleigh Chargers TAC Cup Girls graduate kicking three majors after the main break – including the first and last goals of the half.
Multiple goalkickers: Collingwood – Bateman 3, Livingstone 2
Formlines: Collingwood (11-1-1) returned to top spot on the ladder after suffering a first loss of the season last week against NT. The Magpies only need to win against the Casey Demons next week to seal the minor premiership. / The Saints (5- have lost six of their last seven games.
Next up: Casey Demons vs Collingwood (Casey Fields) _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |

After losing to the Hawks last Saturday, the Pies play the Cats this Sunday for a place in the grand final

Hopefully the girls can find a bit extra and be tougher at the contest as they did not handle the Hawks pressure. And the Cats have found some form defeating the NT Thunder to get to the prelim. _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |
