watched the port v tigers game last night and the one thing that seemed to happen was when port kicked over the defense of the tiggers - to their goal, several times it became a real foot race. Port won obviously (although they didn't win by foot races) but it got me thinking that perhaps that is where Murray should be - running hard into a vacant forward 50 breaking a defensive forward press.

just sayn

^ WHE & JS are enough, unless the addition comes with forward football skills too.
...

I'm interested to find out what the changes in personnel of the two sides will be compared with the last-round teams last year, when we won despite carrying quite a few passengers.

You can scratch Crocker and Murray. They're playing today:

Game's on Channel 7 in Victoria (and online). Come on over to the VFL forum and you can explore how to watch...

Howes in for Appleby.

Though the rush to break news can sometimes have casualties...

Quote:
With Howes inclusion into Collingwoods final 22 comes the exclusive of rookie Flynn Appleby.

He joins a list of emergencies also including Rupert Wills, Sam Murray, and Ben Crocker. Of the four, XXXXXXXXX didnt play in the Magpies VFL clash with Casey on Saturday and is expected to be the carry-over emergency.

They've fixed it,

The small defender has averaged 12.5 disposals since debuting against Richmond in round six.

makes sense, howe in for appleby but if Howe doesn't get up on Monday, Appleby stays in.

Agree not a bad call at all. the more blokes we have with toe and a bit of mongrel is handy, i liked his work on Anzac Day.

Murray's trouble with decision making and the resultant turnovers were a startling feature of the VFL game yesterday. [I say "trouble with decision making", where others would say "poor decision making", because it really seems to me that such a style of play requires really fast decision making, which is why it's hard, and he's just not able to decide fast enough.]
