I just don’t get this “keep the audience interested crap”. The actual game will do that. No need to barrack. We know every bi partisan fan wants a close game. So let the game play that out. No amount of high pitched bullshit is going to convince a casual viewer to stick around. The score and game can cope without it.

Ahem, tiny Huddo on the radio, few yrs back, once did a phone talk back phone poll, on the question of, " What would you rather, beat the Pies by ten goals in a GF, or by one point.?" Even Brereton said, its a stupid poll, grow up Huddo. I rest my case.

I've been totally peed off with some commentators this season. Dwayne Russell is another that annoys the crap out of me, along with Lingy and Brian Taylor. My list is quite long!!
I get that they need to dramatize everything to make a game more interesting and it's almost a requirement to barrack for the under-dog. However, it's simply not their role to barrack at all!!! It's their role to report in an objective fashion on what's happening in the game. No hysteria needed.
Strangely, I find that the commentator who is best at giving an unbiased, objective view of the game is Wayne Carey. Who would've thought? |

I thought that Garry Lyon was the worst today. How many times we were told that Carlton "were two men down". So were we in the last quarter, but that didn't rate a mention.
Time to watch with sound off in the future I think, and I agree with Pyrenees Pie, surprisingly Wayne Carey is not too bad. |

True, and im so so glad the Pies have banned that stupid Roaming Brian from our games, rapt we told BT to buzz off and can it, good one. !!!!!
