Surely the time has come.

Moore done for the day. The second hamstring he has done this year.

Ditto Elliott. Ditto Smith.

Our injury list from the website:

Rupert Wills (soreness) – available
“Rupert will resume after missing last week’s VFL game with a minor issue. He will be available for selection this week.”

Scott Pendlebury (ankle) – test
“Scott obviously didn’t finish the game, but the good news is that there is no serious ligament damage. There is a fair bit of bruising around the lower end of the tibia and his ankle joint. We will see how he is in the next 48 hours, but we are hopeful that, being a Sunday game with a full seven days in between games, he will get up to play. We will know more in two-to-three days.”

Tom Langdon (leg) – 1 week
“The likelihood is that Tommy will miss another week. He is progressing and looking a little better, but we would expect he will more than likely have another week on the sidelines.”

Brayden Maynard (ankle) – 1-2 weeks
“Brayden is coming along a little slower with that ankle. He has a bit of syndesmosis, and there is still some tenderness there. He won’t be available this week (and will be) probably pushing for the following week, but we will see how that is at the back end of the next week. He is still a bit sore as we speak.”

Ben Reid (Achilles) – 1-2 weeks
“Ben is starting to run again this week. While we said it’s a two-to-three week injury, this will be his second week out, and he is coming along really well. His rehab is progressing perhaps a little bit quicker than we thought, which is good news. This time next week, we will be assessing whether he is going to be available for selection or not.”

Josh Smith (hamstring) – 3-4 weeks
“Josh resumed in the VFL win against Werribee and reinjured that hamstring in the same spot, and there is a bit of tendon damage as well. He only got 25 minutes into the game when the injury reoccurred. We will have to reassess that, and I would think that is going to be numerous weeks on the sidelines for Josh. We will keep you updated as the weeks roll on.”

James Aish (knee) – 8-10 weeks
“Aishy, as we know, suffered that knee injury last week. He is still in a brace and we hope the conservative treatment will see him being available for selection at the back end of the season. We will see how that progresses in the coming three, four, five weeks.”

Now add Moore and Jamie with hamstrings and Phillips with concussion.

Don't know who's to blame (is it the footy gods), but I'm totally pissed off.

Blaming the fitness staff for Elliott is just loopy. Some blokes are just perpetually injured. Everyone around here claimed we were being too conservative with Elliott. He's the modern day Sean Rusling.

Not convinced the soft tissue repeats are fitness staff either so much as medical staff deeming they are right to go/everything has been done to ensure they are right to go. It's never just black and white though.

Smith, Moore and Elliot all reinjure the same hamstring in the first or second game back.

Something is not right there, not with young blokes.

Get em doing Yoga. When they can lick their own balls, they're ready to play.

Can’t just be bad luck. When teams like Richmond are blessed how is it that we are cursed?

They already are.

And, on the bright side, the number of soft-tissue injuries is not yet anywhere near the number of separate Nick's threads on the topic.

Maybe we need to train at Victoria Park like the tigers train at Punt Rd. Cursed with injury at the Holden Centre facilities since 2011.

Been saying it for years, pampered pussies. State of the art gyms are no match for pounding the turf.
