Oh, that's okay, then. I don't think Matthews gives a stuff about Mike. (But how did Mike define "modern era"? Maybe Leigh is in Mike's "dinosaur era".)

A decent coach would be great!

I don't know, don't care enough about Sydney to even know who plays for them, but Buddy is not the type of player we need anyway.

I want someone young with a future who fills a gap in our team, isn't overhyped, overrated and can play more than a couple of games in a row, then he is already a massive upgrade on Moore

We simply aren't in the position to be losing a young kpp with the potential upside of Moore IMO, he cost us a prized draft selection so a pick in the mid teens from the perennial finalist that is Sydney is nowhere near enough either.

Hell given the lack of young kpp talent on our list period we need to be improving it's depth and even if someone like Lynch were open to joining us I'd much rather partner him with Moore or use Darcy in defence.

Let's be honest do you see us winning a flag with a forward duo of Reid and Cox or a defence with only 1 aging genuine key defender in Dunn?

Moore has been given an easier ride to senior selection than his performances have demanded to date no doubt and this needs to stop but with a lot of the hard work now done I'm expecting his output to increase markedly over the coming couple of years.

To trade now when so much is still unknown about what he might become is to big a risk for mine and I'd rather we back him in, get his body right and settle him in a position.

Moore’s father Peter (manager at the time) pushed for an extra 2 year deal when he was drafted in 2014 to make a 4 year deal upon his arrival. Now it seems their camp is unhappy with the $$ terms in hindsight. Now flipping to Liam Pickering as his agent has all the signs of Peter distancing himself from an imminent departure. Horrible outcome but the Pies should demand a Dayne Beams like deal:

* first Rd pick
* second round pick
* emerging player such as: Papley, McCartin, Alir, Dawson, Melican etc...

^ whatever he was paid under the four year deal, he’d be ahead on it. Has taken a few nice marks, kicked a few goals, but had little influence on any game thus far. After meeting his medical bills every few weeks, we’d be way behind on the deal.

As the Beams deal shows, there is no point grieving over those who want to go elsewhere, as long as you extract value for them.

Agreed! Moore doesn’t look like he’ll ever kick 60+ goals nor collect 20+ possessions per game. I would prefer to keep him but need to bleed whoever wants him dry. Unlike Dayne who had 1 year left on his contract, Darcy is out of contract.

Anyone who is happy to let Moore leave to get Lynch has lint for brains.

I’d take the swans first pick and the underrated out of contract J Lloyd

I'm pretty meh about Moore leaving if he does. I've got very little time for a bloke that wants to cash out of a club that's pretty much done everything right by him to date, especially when they've achieved two thirds of **** all to date to justify wanting to leave.

If he does leave though, damn I hope we play hard ball. Let him end up at the Suns through the PSD if need be, see how much he enjoys that.
