According to Damian Barrett it seems the Swans are well positioned to make a play for Darcy Moore. Despite the naysayers Barrett doesnt go with innuendo and half truths and for those with short memories, he got the Treloar to the Pies rumour in May 2015 (5 months before it happened) and similarly called the Hoskin Elliott to Pies rumour months ahead of the actuality.

With Peter Moore taking over Darcys contract negotiations, Im hoping Peter doesnt do a 1983 to us again and organise another defection from the Pies. Peter, I reckon it took Pies fans and the club 25 years to welcome you back into our hearts and given your healthy mining assets portfolio Darcy wont ever have to queue up at Centrelink!

No Moore Filth please.

Liam Pickering is now Darcy's manager.
Why would Peter have anything to do with contract negotiations?

isn't it nice to have players that other teams might actually believably covet!! Hasn't been the case for a few years......

Moore and DeGoey could not possibly be coming up to free agency could they?

I read that Peter thinks leaving us and going to Melbourne was a bad choice and one he regrets. Darcy may go but I dont think Peter will be the reason.

From what I've seen Peter loves his son being at Collingwood. And Peter leaving Collingwood for Melbourne was more to do with the fall out from the Tom Hafey sacking than any acrimony between Peter Moore and Collingwood.

Loving the hype surrounding our players!
Shows the fear in the opposition as we are building a strong list.

Stay with us Darcy - you too Jordy.
We're on the right path.

Go Pies

Not sure murmurings about hotly pursued out of contract gems like Moore and DeGoey is the silver lining worth basking in. To me Ned Guy was brought onto to do two Jobs:

1. Retain &
2. Recruit

Best he starts with the bird in the hand approach before pursuing the two in the bush endeavours.

To me, Ned Guy's job is to manage all contract negotiations and manage our salary cap, so that Derek Hine can identify and recruit new talent.

I thought Ned Guy was brought in because changes needed to be sen to be done. He also makes a decent coffee.

Ed did say last night by the way that the club is sitting down with his management next week. We may get a deal done and this one can be put to bed.

Ed also went on to say that if Darcy does go, it'll be hard to play footy without any legs!! Gold Smile
