If not, then Brown is next in.

Sier debuts with a negating run-with role on Danger. Adams runs with Duckwood (might get Adams back into form). Probably put Treloar or Pendles head-to-head with Ablett.

You couldn’t do that to the kid Seir on debut. No way. Doesn’t have the tank for starters. Ya dreamin’.

Who else we got as a big bodied mid? Greenwood not match fit yet, Wills didn’t play in weekend and De Goey would be robbing Peter to pay Paul. Pendles is really the only other option I see.

It’s a challenge no doubt, but we need to curb Danger. It’s also how legends are made!

How many people think that Mayne deserves to be dropped?

He is slow, looks lost & even a little scared. His VFL form didnt indicate he deserved a go and he has done nothing in the past 2 games and should be dropped.

I'd give Sier a chance, he seems to be improving every week.

Yep. Not sure when it was, maybe the 3rd qaurter, 2 fitzroy players and mayne running for a loose ball, they made him look like he was standing still.

Bite the bullet and cut him loose, a hinderance and only keeping one of our up and comers from getting some valuable exposure.

☆ Pendles won't be playing on Sunday.

He's a natural endurance runner. And when he goes to Ducky, he's not there to get touches.

we cannot win this game because they are 6th and we are 9th. How on earth can we compete against teams in the 8?

OOT:
====
Apples - got a taste, now consolidate in the 2nds.
Pendles - injureed.
Blair - the Blair supporters hang on a smother he did. LOL.
Crocker - for the 15km he runs, he lays 2 tackles, and gets 8 possessiona, half of which are turnovers. Sorry.

IN:
====
Langdon - replaces Apples.
Sier - we are getting slaughtred in centre clearances. Let's see what he can give us. Stands up in tackles.
Maynard - missed his aggression.
Wells - has to come in.

Just watched the replay and Appleby will learn from the experience but he badly needs to go back to the twos. He cost us at least three goals through poor defending last night. Twice in five minutes in the third quarter he flew as second man up, failed to make any contact, and let it go over the back for his man to kick a goal. I guess that is what we have defensive coaches for, but you have to wonder where the runner was after the first one.

Flynn will learn and probably be a good player in time, but I’ll be very glad to see Langdon and hopefully Maynard back.

Blair deserved votes on the weekend. He was terrific. There is zero chance that Blair gets dropped unless at least 4 others (including Mayne and Crocker) also make way. He is in career best form.

We need to fix the defence. We were killed for pace at the back by Brisbane. When Beams is getting to the fall of the ball inside 50, uncontested, you know your backline is full of plodders.

He was great for two of the four quarters, the first and last, but I thought he was a bit MIA in the second and third. Of course,that may be because he was playing a different role on coaches’ instructions in that time. I agree that he’s unlikely to be dropped on the effort, and he certainly was not in our bottom six on the night.

Fail to see why it takes a runner to tell a player what he already knows. Personally I'm with the AFL on wanting to get rid of runners from the ground. Dunn has been a little off the last couple of games and Scharenberg has been tied up having to defend against 6'5" monsters. And then as you say Maynard and Langdon haven't played. Bring those two back, play Moore in defence when Reid comes back and our defence looks much better. I think you're right. Appleby will be dropped for the Geelong game. However looking forward to the middle part of the season I think Appleby should come back into the senior side provided he keeps improving. Crisp, Langdon, Scharenberg and Murray are a lock-in in defence. We have that option of moving Maynard into the middle which means that there is a place for either Appleby or Murphy in the backline if they want to take it (Appleby currently ahead of Murphy).
