Righto peeps, firstly; don't panic. And don't read too much into that final margin either.

You couldn't fault the commitment. That is the most courageous 7 goal loss we are ever likely to see, under injury and scheduling duress.

Unfortunately, Richmond is the standout team of the competition at the moment

All those missed targets by hand and foot were a give-away.
Ignore the junk time goals blowing out the final margin; absolutely nothing to do with effort, and everything to do with exhaustion and lack of rotations.

Richmond, however, are a house of cards evolving around Martin, Rance and sniper-girl. One or two of them fall over, the wheels will fall off very quickly.

A first game player, a player with 6 games under his belt, no Wells, Elliott, Adams, Moore, Varcoe and injuries to Grundy, Aish and Maynard. We totally ran out of legs just before 3qtr time. I was very proud. There is so much improvement coming. The four day break on top of that. Richmond have no injuries and have had a settled team for two years.

Wells should have played, no ifs, buts, or f&cking maybes.
He's got more pre-seasons under his belt than any player in the team.
What an idiotic, putrid, biased decision to play "his little mate" instead.
We all knew we would lose, the moment he was selected, as well as Mayne.

Other no shows for much of the game: Thomas, DeGone, Stephenson.
Thomas, considering his age, and how much football he has missed through his own idiocy, should have a much bigger tank. DeGone played like he was hungover; utterly ineffective save for a shot on goal, as was Stephenson, who save for some brain-fades, should have kicked at least three.

Forward line was an out-coached, disorganised clusterf*ck, back to it's 2017 form. Elliott and Fasolo are needed against large bodied defenders, which Tiggers had in abundance. Moore would have carved them up.
The backline held up well once the midfield starting leaking turnovers.
Scharenberg and Crisp I'd suggest had career best games today.
Treloar and Pendles busted their arses all afternoon. Sidebottom tried to get too clever against quality opposition, and turned it over way too often.
Treloar's goals on the run both today and on Anzac Day, were both absolutely epic, and as good as they get from that distance, allowing a four day break. Adam you star.

Hope the injuries aren't going to return en masses to trainwreck another season. F&ck off you c&nts!

And the three brain dead cockheads with whistles; do us all a favour: go away and die. Soon.

3. De Goey was disappointing and has to work much, much harder to get into the game.

This one especially RudeBoy. At one point I was starting to wonder what the hell was going on with him. If anyone could offer any explanations, it'd be appreciated. We hardly saw him, except for that one magnificent goal.

Agree that the score flattered the tigers - we had their measure for 95% of the game.
Those who are dishing Blair/Buckley/Mayne are letting your prejudices get the better of your judgement - Blair was in particular good and naming Appleby was inspired and brave. Just remember that the ball was in Richmonds half a big chunk of time - well away from Mayne - Blair seemed to be up forward a bit too.
If your looking to poke someone perhaps Thomas or de Goey (although he did have Rance on him a bit). Thomas has had a couple of quiet weeks and Jordy is still working his way back I feel.

Considering they held off the ball, pushed us in the back, and tackle tripped us about 78 times unpunished; it's not exactly a figure i'd be bragging about.

And also Revolting. Yes. Hope Martin & Rance miss a game that really matters.

We got beaten by 8 goals so that is a thrashing in anyones book.
As for Blair...what impact did he have?
Basically zero!

I reckon the injuries to Aish , Maynard and Howe took their toll in the second half, as well as Grundy clearly being hampered by what looked like a sore back.
So we were playing one man down (sure hope that Aish is going to be okay, as he's been in excellent form), with others carrying obvious niggles.
Our battle-weary boys still kept on trying regardless.

There were junktime goals, sure... But... there was a somewhat similar pattern in the Richmond-Melbourne game, and Melbourne are hardly going well. Skills from both sides seemed poor in that game too.

We all really know what happened today. In the past three games, the opposition averaged 62 points a game against us. This week they got an extra 51 above that average. Scharenberg was great, Howe was BOG and Maynard, Crisp and Dunn went about the same as they always do. Only one thing changed at the back. Wink
