Not really certain what to make of that. On the one hand, it was funny. On the other hand, they were four goals out of nothing (Goddard's choke to WHE, DG and Sidey off the ground out of nothing and Sidey with his second when all the Essendumb defenders thought the ball was dead).

Ump was about to blow his whistle for 50 penalty to us for clear encroachment of restricted zone in the centre square just before steele’s goal. Then immediately put his whistle away as Coll player played on. Weak cheat.

They have the advantage on us one on one up forward. Daniher and Stringer look dangerous whenever their mids get in space.

So far though we're beating them in the midfield and it could have been an even better quarter if Reid didn't mess up two certain goals.

Brown has been excellent in close. Has barely fumbled a ground ball.

Tight contest but need to play more accountable football and man up. We're giving our opponents far too much space to run into which makes them look good. Clean up going forward Pies! Those opportunist crumbed goals is the difference. Reid must do better with the ball. Come on Pies!
