I think it's unfair that Richmond and Melbourne get this game to themselves.
The other clubs in the comp could easily bring in 77,000 on this night.
Not only do Richmond get the season opener, Dreamtime and Anzac Eve games, but they got to play in last years Grand Final as well. How unfair.
What about North? What about St Kilda? What about Footscray? What about the GWS-Suns rivalry?
WHAT ABOUT #EQUALITY?
Why did St Kilda get their New Zealand match taken away?
Melbourne should be allowed to keep it due to being the oldest club. But they should be allowed to take 100% of the gate and keep the home game. That's only fair.
The AFL should un-merge The Bears and Fitzroy and let them play against each other on this night.

| The most unfair thing is, we have to play on a Wednesday and then get ourselves up to play Richmond on a Sunday, after Richmond gets an extra day to recover for our match. I'd rather we give up ANZAC day personally and let the AFL share it around the other clubs who want to play it midweek and let us play the ANZAC day when we only have it on a Friday, Saturday or a Sunday. We got wrecked last year at the same time losing to Carlton when our weariness caught up with us. StKilda should be grateful they don't have to play in New Zealand on a Wednesday this year. |

Well they got the bums on seats, and that's all that matters to GillMc.
I'm more concerned about the MCG surface having to recover in less than 24 hours, after a weekend of football already.

Richmond's house of cards evolves around the longevity of Martin and Rance to stay on the park; this dynasty has an expiry date like all the others.
