I'll let everyone else state the obvious. Grundy, Steele, Stephwnson, etc.
So I'll pick out some negatives I'd like to see us improve upon so as to convince us and the rest of the league we could do damage.
It's why although I appear 'negative', I'm happy and proud as punch.
But Phillips, Langdon, WHE, Crocker need to step up with some of their weaknesses, cos there are many players (Elliott, Wells, Moore, Fasolo, Greenwood, Adams) who will start knocking the door down.
That's all I'm saying.
Don't worry, I'll probably lay watch this replay 5 times this week! |

We needed to step up our clearances and boy did we. Sidey and Grundy both getting 12 and Treloar 10.
Next best was only 3 so could have done with more of a spread, but that's a tiny nit, because we won clearances 57 to 33 
Edit: actually missed Pendles with 5.

Really happy with that win. This is the game plan that Buckley has been trying to get us to play for the last however many years. Even the dumbsh*t commentators can see it now. Strong running. Intelligent handball. Not bombing to the hotspot every freaking time (though JdG might have missed the memo  )
But with all that, we still had the smarts to play basic territory footy while the conditions demanded it.
Yeah Adelaide had some important outs and are missing Lever, Cameron and the other one but they are still a decent side, playing at home in front of a parochial crowd with umpires on the take. Our game style often wilts under pressure but tonight it stood up for 4 quarters and not against a bunch of plebs either.
This was one of the better (only?) 4 quarter efforts we've seen in years. Green shoots indeed.
