Check out the players who polled votes. Nearly all of them are successful trades.

10 Bryce Gibbs (Adel)
7 Rory Laird (Adel)
7 Paul Seedsman (Adel)
2 Luke Brown (Adel)
2 Sam Jacobs (Adel)
1 Eddie Betts (Adel)
1 Seb Ross (StK)

4 of these 6 guys played for other clubs. Luke Brown was stolen from GWS in the same way we stole Elliot from GC and Rory Laird was a frick'n rookie draft pick.

Seeds also played well in one of their finals last year too. So yes, it looks like we went early on him, thogh maybe the transfer made him as well, and he would not have been as good had he stayed.

I think AFL has now become so hard and physical that it takes most young men five years to get near their potential. That is partly why we have struggled, too.

Some players need a change of clubs to get their mind back on football. If you keep looking backwards you will never go forward. For every player that has been moved on and performed I can name a dozen that haven't. Everyone's an expert in hindsight. Rolling Eyes

Agree. Look how well Howe, Dunn and WHE have performed at Collingwood after being busts at their own club. The change did all of these players a lot of good.

It wasn't going to work for him in Melbourne is what I've been told by a few others. Had some bad influences etc. Not strong enough character to resist...

Inconsistent at Collingwood was a problem and previous post citing off field influence bad for him

Many young men follow same route in their footy start up and Paul apparently
one of them

Change of life influence,s and chance to mature seem the change for Paul

Yeah good on him.
But we got Jeremy Howe in the deal to offload Seedsman. I think we are coming out on top.

Spot on. Those thoughts occurred to me watching the Collingwood Carlton game. Players with physically mature bodies like Cripps are the best players, while Dow for Carlton and Stephenson for Collingwood, are struggling because they don't have the bodies to cope with the current game. That's also why Hawthorn are playing better than we expected, because they recruited mature players and why Adelaide are a good side. The AFL imo caused this mess by reducing the number of interchanges to slow the game down, which helps the more mature bodies.

In any event, the claim was always that Seedsman initiated the interruptus.

If you want to talk about players who are polling votes that were trades, tom mitchell at the hawks is in the discussion.

Even though they got pick 14, I'd be thinking at this stage if I was a swans supporter, I'd rather have kept the player.

(nothing to do with adelaide of course)

Wish Seedsman all the best. Always liked him.

He's been good for the Crows. But he's not that KPP we need right now.

"Gee, Paul Seedsman has really improved his game. Contested work and tackling real noticeable improvement. Well done"

Let’s not turn him into Royce Hart. Paul has missed as many games as he has played for the Crows and still has the worst hands in the AFL. Howe is elite! Game over.
